The screws are either 1/4 inch or 5/16; I can't remember for sure - they may even be metric. But the torque is not really critical. Try 4 to 5 ft pounds.

All of your problems indicate the pressure switch is bad. I don't know which part number to recommend because Campbell Hausfeld (Husky) model numbers have six digits and there aren't any model numbers or part numbers I can find that start with WJ. You need to contact Campbell Hausfeld (1-800-543-6400) to see what part you have to order to fix your compressor.

There is a check valve on the tank where the line from the pump goes to. It should also have a smaller line running to the pressure switch. If the valve or spring inside is broke or stuck it will leak as you describe. You need Campbell Hausfeld part number CV221502AJ.

Air regulator or pressure switch.

Unloader valve on switch. That switch is not bleeding off cylinder head pressure,when it shuts off.

REPLACE THE PRESSURE SWITCH BUDDY THESE CAN BECOME FAULTY WHICH IS THE CASE OF THIS PROBLEM BUY THEM ON EBAY FOR CHEAP THE PRESSURE SWITCH CONTROLLES YOUR ON AND OFFF AND STOPING PRESSURE SO THAT HAS GOT TO BEE THE PROBLENM OR TRY AND TAP IT A BIT TO MAKE IT WORK

unhook the output line from the pump. run unit for 5 to 10 min. if no problem, check the tank valve at the end of you out put line, it screws into your tank. that valve must shut off at every down stroke of the piston, or air well flow back to the pump. will put an overload on the motor. good luck

Your comperssor is oilless type and suffers from short cylinder / piston life. When the compressor no longer reaches cycle pressure the cylinder / piston should be replaced. These parts are available at www.chpower.com I believe that the part number is wl210300aj. Not expensive, enjoy.
