Question about Kitchen Ranges
I have an Amana Gas Range Model Number AGDS902SS oven that is slow to start. The Igniter? glows orange, but nothing happens for the longest time. Takes something like 15 minutes to light and then it is slow to come to temperature (if it ever comes to temperature.) We sometimes, but not always smell gas.
Sometimes we just give up on it and use our toaster oven.
Change the igniter.
As they age, they often times will no longer draw enough amperage to allow the gas safety valve to open. Increasing the line voltage would help, but that's a little impractical.
