Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the PTC parts,the primary AC power supply board.Disconnect the power supply board,measurement the capacitors and power tranzistors,measurement the output voltage(155V),connect on the output on 60W electric bulb,if it light the power source is ok and the problem in the horizontal driver parts(trafo,power tranzistor...).
Vertical suddenly fold over? Vertical IC loosing connection with board. Best solution is to reflux or resolder it. If not damage vertical IC, replace it. That should fix the problem.
im afraid to say that your display has gone the best thing you can do is call the supplyer of the tv if its under warranty or call samsung. the cost of a new display will be 400 - 500 pounds so you may have to buy a new set.
