Can you give a little better description of the issue. When you say it's freezing do you mean the mouse locks and you can't do anything?

- If you're running Windows, go to the Microsoft support site and search for Process Explorer. It's a program similar to Task Manager but has a little more to it. You'll want to download that and install it. Once you have it running you'll be able to see exactly what's hanging the system. Run the program and sort the items displayed via CPU usage.
You say when you move it, it begins to process again....you mean, after it locks you can pick it up and move to another location and everything begins to work again?
I've fixed two laptops using this free tutorial http://imateski.blogspot.com/2009/03/fixing-non-responsive-hp-nx61106xxx.html. Both of them still work, a year after the fix. No freezeups whatsoever. The fix requires quite a bit of explanations, so just follow the link.
I came into possession of a nx 6310 that my company disposed from inventory due to a display issue. The problem that is described here is very similar to the display issue this machine has. When the LCD screen is moved out of the 'sweet spot' it will lock up, or start to fail to display, the screen itself will go non responsive. If the monitor is moved just a little, it may go back to displaying properly. I believe that it may be a connection issue between the system board and the lcd but I am not sure. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem, with the same laptop Sometime it freez, stop working (no mouse, music which is playing stops), then if I press gently with one finger the plastic between keyboard and touchpad, it keeps going, not crashing any application at all. Not a software problem, since I have it on Windows, Ubuntu, and with a live CD too. If it can help, lately the internal usb had stop working some weeks ago

I have no sound from the speakers or the headphone jack. I ran the diagnostic program and got a 1B22:01B error code. It this a problem with the sound card or the motherboard?
