Question about Neff 24 in. S5443X2 Built-in Dishwasher

Open Question

My NEFF S5443X1GB suddenly began leaking today. Water is now flooding from the bottom of the door but I don't know if this is associated with the seals being broken or the drain being clogged. Any thoughts?

First you need to ensure that the drain pump is working.
The drain pump is tested by the technician by energizing the pump directly, so to understand if the pump solenoid is working.
This is an unsafe job for the home user, as there is AC inside your appliance, all live power test should be done by techs.
Apart testing the pump, check also the wiring harness to the pump.
If the pump is fine, then replace the control panel.

Here you find parts for your appliance and repair help.

SOURCE: NEFF S5943 slimline dishwasher leaks

It is very likely the door seal is leaking. Try again in the rinse cycle and see if you have the same problem. The water should not be warm this time but that will confirm if it is related to the duration of the wash cycle.

The details of the door seal are available at the NEFF parts website. You will have to select the assembly dwg 3 from the interactive screen to see is part no.

Hope this helps.

If your unit has a round dial timer (like many washer machines) the timer may be sticking. If it has an electronic timer then the door switch may be faulty. Don't run this unit unless someone is nearby, if the door switch shorts out, you may have a fire.

Neff s5443x1GB/29 dishwasher starts and stops

The pressure chamber or hose (pressure chamber to sump) may be blocked and the microswitch is being activated because the water is not entering the tank quick enough. Isolate from electric, remove lid and left panel (looking from the front). There is a plastic chamber bottom right of left side with two microswitches, either this is blocked or the hose that runs from it to the right and along the back of the kick panel and into the sump. Clear either or both (make sure all hoses are pushed true when repositioning).

How to reset the flood switch on a fisher & paykel

Hi - unfortunately my good friend it cannot be reset as one would like quite easily anyhow... water has found its way to the base of the drwaers and have activated the flooding switch - one could pull it apart to dry it - tip the water out from the base but if the leaks not repaired you will have the same problem later and will be on-going.

Dishwasher not working. Start button works ok as

Hello,

It sounds as though the Anti-flood device has kicked in,could be due to a leak under the dishwasher,it will need to be pulled out and investigated.
I would also check that there is water at the hose to the machine.

Hope this helps.

Dishwasher pump keeps running

This is caused by a water leak into the base pan,it will trigger the anti flood and the machine will continously drain out even with the door open, you need to establish what is leaking,if you leave the appliance standing for a few days it will start again as the water will evaporate however if the fault returns you will definetly have aleak on the appliance which will require further investigation.

Water inlet hose not letting water through to the machine

that's probably a flood-safe type hose ... most of them reset after you remove it and re-install where it connects to the faucet, but you have already swapped it . try removing it and reinstalling it , then turn water supply on slowly

Water in the bottom under the metal gride are absolutely normal. This water will be drained out at the beginning of the next cycle.
