just download ActiveSync 4.5 from Microsoft download website. this software comes with all the USB drivers you will need to connect ans sync you PDA to your PC computer.

in windows, right click on the CD player with you cd in it.
click explore and look for USB Drivers.
Install the drivers and try hooking your phone up again.
Try using a fast USB 2.0 port on the computer.

you cannot easily download the software you need - activesync for XP or windows mobile device cente for Vista. thats free. google it.

Thx 4 the offer to help, it was a customers pc, I did not have an internet connection on the system, and your option of scanning and installing my system, would`ve been useless, i would`ve prefered to be able to download the drivers as i knew what driver i was looking for, unfotuanately you did not give me that option,only the option to scan my pc for drivers...I have a new system, have my own drivers, so i just had to go search elsewhere and got it in the end

If this is a Pocket PC phone then you just simply go to microsoft.com to download the latest Microsoft Activesync Software Version either 4.2 or 4.5 it should recognize all pocket pc by default. I have installed version 4.2 and I had different Pocket PC models. It had been recognized easily without install any software from their own CD.
