Question about Maytag Atlantis MAV6451 Top Load Washer
I have 2 problems.
1- when the washer is workinig it makes noise; it made noise when we first got it but left it alone and works fine, what is causing that noise? Can i fix it? What part do i need?
2-Now when we wash the knob does not turn (timer) and the washer just turn forever so we turn it off because it get hot and smells like burn, can i fix the knob not turning? What part do i need?
Your first question I need a little more information. What kind of noise is it? Is it a squeek, or a roar, or like rocks in the tub? The second answer is more than likely a timer problem. This part (Maytag # 22004189) costs around $60 to $75 depending on where you live. Run that part number through eBay for special deals sometimes for those parts. Be sure you find out what that noise is first. If you have a transmission or bearing going bad, that could be a costly repair. Let me know what that noise sounds like, and we'll go from there. Jim
