Question about Acer Aspire 3690-2196 Notebook

1 Answer

Hi Charlie, Thank you for your quick reply, The problem is I do not know how to check to see if it is a problem with the battery or if it is with the power cord. Although I am going off of the assumption that it is the AC cord because when the low battery light started to flash on my lap top, I tried plugging in the power cord, but there were no results.

A fast check to determine whether you have a problem with the power adapter, power cord or the laptop's battery is to turn off the laptop, remove the battery, connect the power adapter, turn on the laptop & see if it works.
If the laptop works directly from the power adapter with the battery removed, then the power adapter is good. In this case we can suspect that the battery is defective.

Hi, Charlie and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Tip over sensor needs a reset.

On desktop PC's there is usually a pin on the motherboard that you can jumper out to clear the password but laptops are a different animal. I ran into a very informative website posting that gave great information about backdooring the bios passwords.

No powerfrom the outlet source

The AC adaptor of my Casio Keyboard has reversed polarity from the Standard Power AV adaptor you get in the market. The center is NEGATIVE. When you try to use a new power supply that is NOT a CASIO original, you may need to reverse the polarity of the plug. Check that.

Charlie, just installed my KDC7080R after having it sitting in my loft for the past nine years. I too have the same problem. Tried a new battery in the Kenwood Key, no luck, swapped the yellow and red wires on the ISO connector, still nothing. Wondering if the car needs a 'reset' (disconnect from battery.. Did you solve your problem?

During the water fill cycle there is not a steady flow of water entering the machine when on a HOT or Warm cycle. The water is Pulsating through the hoses. Is this normal for a wtw 5600 whirlpool washer???...

Hi Charlie in Philly,

Yes it is normal to answer your question in short. However, since it may not be how your old machine operated or something you are not accustomed to, I'll explain in brief.

Most automatic washer made today have a "thermistor" built into the fill valve, or in series with the fill line from the valve. As a result you may notice either the cold or hot pulsing on and off, and this is done as the thermistor senses the water temperature to attain the desired water for the selected cycle. It also makes the washer more energy efficient and more well balanced from a functional stand point, i.e. it will only call for the desired amount of hot water as opposed to the older washer's which would simply fill at the rate at which the home water supply could provide, whether hot/warm or cold selected.

Hope this answer's your question and enlighten's you to the "why" as well.

Thank you for visiting "fixya" today. If you found this solution helpful please take a second and rate it or comment on the expert reply.

Let me know if I can assist you further and good luck with your new washer.

Web cam

This is usally done through the software/application that comes with the web cam or laptop for built in web cams.

A quick solution: If you can see the picture you wont on your screen you can always press the "print screen" key on your keybord, open an application like paint and past (Ctrl+V) it in then save.
