They asking me to download a app on my desktop to eliminate people hacking my account, but its not possible as i'm using a work account, what do i do.

In most countries Hacking is illegal. Helping hackers will be illegal in the same countries. So don't ask other people to do something they can end up in jail, when doing so.

Through the years enough is written and enough is landed on the net, to find out what and how to hack. Be aware you really have to know lots of things about networking, and more than just something about IP addresses and Mac addresses.

On the Facebook login page, you can find both, I forgot my password and forgot my login account.
While setting up your account, you gave Facebook a possibility to find out if you are the owner of the account. Like some security questions and or a return e-mail address. If someone wanted to hack your account, and he / she knew the answers to your security questions, (or easy could guess them) it was easy to hack the page.
And if the did so, I think they already changed the return mail address. If not, just goto the Facebook login page and ask Facebook to help you. When your page is already in use by others, you can't get it back, unless you can convince (already) Facebook it was recently hacked.

Really, only Facebook can help you. Don't try to change anything on your phone, to get things straight, us a computer to login.

Sounds like your Facebook Account was hacked.
Do the following suggestion below...As Soon As Possible.

If you still have access to your account, then you should change your password right away and rebuild your account the way it was before it was hacked.
Report the hacking to Facebook and let them deal with the person that hacked your account.
If you do not have access to your account.
You will need to contact facebook security right away and get them to retake over the account for you.
When you are able to prove that you are the original owner of the account they will then give you back control of your account.
VERY IMPORTANT: Let Facebook know what happened as soon as possible.
If the account was hacked and the hacker is using the account to do some bad stuff, then they will supend your account and possibly delte it because they think that you are the one doing the bad stuff.

Go into her iTunes or the itunes used to sync with the offeding ipod, head to the Apps tab on the left, and right click on the Facebook App. Select, "Get Info". If your account information (itunes account info) is under owner, she used your account to download the app. If you mean using her ipod to access your facebook; change the password, security question, and linked phone under "Account Settings" in FB, and the password and security question of the associated email address that you ised to set it up.
