Whirlpool wtw57esvw washer won't fill

I had the same problem, started filling right away, also when the wash cycle is done, the clothes are wet, it starts to fill again after spin cycle. I intended to buy a load sensing switch the next day, but it was $76 dollars. i removed the switch, gentley pryed it apart, there was 2 small thin brass/copper contact tabs, I bent them slightly to make better contact. I put the switch back together and reinstalled it, put the machine back together, and it has been 3 months with no problems.

Washer agitates but will not spin drain spin or fill

Well I have a Roper Top Load Washer, bought it in 1998 ,no problems til back 6 years ago we had someone come fix it. My problem was the same wouldn't drain or spin. The problem was it was clogged, in the front when you lift off the washer casing theres a white piece connected to to tubes that drain. well there was my daughters pair of underwear in there and a couple small socks. He took them out put it back together and worked ever since. Until earlier tonight we had same problem so we took it apart ourselves and found my boyfriends sock in there took it out and put it back together and works great again. So far so good. Hope this helps Good luck. Tammy

Machine makes a mild grinding sound and won't spin in the spin cycle. What could it be?

Welcome to Fixya.

Depending on whether it is a frontload or top load machine has a lot to do with my answer, but for the sake of guessing I`d say check your drain pump.

Both top or frontload machines rely on the unit draining to allow them to spin properly. The "mild grinding" sound may be something in the pump preventing it from draining or the pump impeller itself is grinding.

If you`re not sure how, please specify if it is a frontload or topload and the make and model number and I should be able to help you from there.

Good luck.

My Whirlpool washer LSQ9500LQ0 would not spin correctly, it would slip and you could smell a burning smell. Empty if you manually spun the tub it would slowly pick up on its own and then work. With this...

The old clutch assembly sounds like it was bad. Yes, it does sound like something got put back together wrong. Most likely, the beige plastic "finger" on the spin tube is in the wrong place when you reassembled the unit. Unfortunately, this means totally disassembling the unit again. BEFORE you tear the unit down again, see if the timer is pausing after it is done agitating and before it goes to spin. If it doesn't, it could be a timer. Hope this helps!

Twice lately we have had water run out from underneath the washer. I have taken the fron off, watched it, put it back and a month later it does it again. Please help

Sounds like the water load size selector tube is plugged. Take apart area where selector switch is, you will see rubber tubing connected to switch, take off an blow out. Put back together. Soap clogs up tubing then washer overflows and comes out the bottom of unit.

Samsung Washer WF306LAW stopped draining and won;t spin

Drained the water from the tub into a bucket. Since the water flowed through the disharge tub I knew there were no obstructions in the line. I then took took the discharge pump out and took it apart. Turned out to be a bobby pin in the motor that was jamming the impeller.

Put it all back together and it works just fine. Took me about 2 1/2 hours total to diagnose and repair.
