Hello there.

If the washer is loosing pressure then it needs to be looked at under warranty, im not sure where the fault would be, but another expert may well know.

If you don't get any suggestions then i would take it back and ask for a replacement or repair.

Hope this helps.

I have a 4,000 psi, 4.5 gpm 45G cat pump powered by a 13 hp honda engine I can not seem to be able to adjust the unloader valve to give me pressure over 950 psi and even at lower pressures, the pump...

I would just purchase a new unloader valve, they usually aren't worth rebuilding. I would like to have a picture of the set up that you have, if you can send me a picture of the unloader region of the pump I can get you are price on a new one. email is justin@wmpcs.com

Not sprayer engine stop

This is an indication that the unloader not working properly. When you release the trigger the unloader senses the increase in pressure and bypasses the water into the water inlet. When the unloader is not working and you release the trigger, the water pressure builds quickly and overcomes the power of the engine shutting it down. Here is the manual for your machine, http://www.pressurewashersdirect.com/manuals/Simpson_WaterBlaster%20manual_2.pdf

and some information about troubleshooting from the manual.
"Not Unloading. Leak in Gunvalve or Hose. Repair gun leak . Replace leaking or broken hoses. Debris or wear in Check Valve. Remove Check Valve parts and clean. Check O-Ring. Reface with emery cloth, or replace checkvalve. Damaged Piston U-Cup. Rebuild Unloader Valve (Service Center)."
Usually when the unloader fails the pressure regulator will most likely need to be replaced as the unloader is usually incorporated within. For now try lowering the pressure some and just tie the trigger open untill you can service. Good luck.

Where is the unloader valve on my pressure washer

is not necessarily a cap, but could be a screw in plug, that should be close to the hose hook-up on the pump Inside there there should be a round ball and a spring that you can tighten or loosen to adjust the unloader and if it has been used ALOT, where the ball seats there could be grooves cut in there and you might need to get a valve kit to fix it

How do you clean the unloader valve on a power washer pump?

The unloader valve usually is replaced. I dont know if you can get o-rings for it. But if you want to take it apart, there will be a crown or cap style nut just below the spring. Unscrew it completely and you will be able to remove the spool. There is just a series of o-rings on it.

I have a titan pro power waser the 7hp version diesel motor.I cant get it to take a feed from the detergent i want to use! any ideas??

I have the exact same machine and had the same problem. If you've tried running the washer with a water tank as the source, you will know that it needs at least some level of pressure - i.e. the water tank needs to be higher than the washer. The detergent input supposedly work by dropping the little feed hose in detergent.... it doesn't. This needs rigging up with a fixed hose from a container higher up than the washer to create some pressure. Don't forget to put an air escape hole in the top of the container or the liquid won't drop.

I also found the battery on this model needs recharging frequently, at least once a month if used daily. Keep a check on the oil cos when the engine oil gets too low the electric starter won't start it - it acts as though the starter motor is dead, just top up the oil. Always disconnect the hoses and drain them and the machine to increase lifespan. The hoses are only hydraulic hoses meant for hydraulic fluid i.e. oil, so water degrades them over time. Errr... keep the quick release fittings lubricated or they seize up. Can't think of much else.... they work rather well for the money but could do with a properly written English manual rather than a Chinese translation with information all over the place, and none of the above mentioned.

Unloader valves

Yes, your compressor will work just fine with a Load Genie continuous run unloader from www.grainger.com. The part number is 4tk14 with a cost of about 45.00. This unloader has a built in check valve so you can remove the present in-tank checkvalve and save it for later use. All that you need to do is install the unloader at the tank and compressed air in to top of valve. (you may have to buy extra fittings to make it work with your tubing size) Adjust valve to open just before the pressure switch cut-off setting. The unloader will bypass the compressed air and will have less stress on the motor. You will not need to use the present unloader at the pressure switch. The only caution is to manually unload the Load Genie upon initial start if there is pressure in the line. Good Luck with your project.

My Karcher HD 1050 DE has lost pressure, ive had new valves put on it but still has no go in it

could be allsorts. seals worn. ceramic pistons split, inlet manifold split( frost damage), unloader valve sticking, etc etc.

Put mains water pressure onto it and look for leaks, then run machine and see if it increases pressure, if not i would suspect unloader valve sticking.....

Not very familiar with the 1050 but i'm a service engineer for high press cleaning equipment...

It sounds like your intake is plugged with debris. What usually happens is a water hose that has been laying around will get various stuff in it -- dirt, grass clippings, small insects (and whatever they take into it nest building). These days most homeowner pressure washers do not have a proper inlet filter, but just a screened hose washer like on a washing machine. The unloader valve can cause pressure variance, but usually not in the manner that you described. The pump is being "starved" for input water. Just use a pair of needle-nose pliers and pull out the screen and clean it or replace it.
