When I hit send, the dial keeps spinning around saying sending, but the message is not sent. Would resetting my password help?
No dear,
You don't need to reset the password. we reset the password when someone hacked our account or in case user don't remember account password. But in your case there is some technical issue. Despite amazing features in Yahoo email account that help users in quick accessibility of their personal or official webmail account, there are certain technical problems that all of the sudden occur in webmail account that create problems for the user.

Also, it looks like Yahoo are now checking the verification of your account before you can use the SMTP service.

Most probably, someone is using your account to send spam mail.
First and foremost, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY. Use a strong password - with letters, numbers, symbols and long enough to make it difficult to guess. Also, notify Yahoo of the problem.
Still, it may take a while before Yahoo "white-lists" you again.
All the best.

Please make sure that you've entered your Yahoo!
Mail address as the "From" address in your email client. You won't be
able to send mail if you've entered another address.
If you have the Norton AntiVirus email feature enabled, you might have
to do additional configuration to use Outlook or Outlook Express. For
more information, please visit the Symantec web site.
If you've tried the above steps and continue to have problems, your ISP
might not allow its users to send messages with other companies' SMTP
outgoing mail servers.
If you're unable to send email, try using port 587 when sending via
Yahoo!'s SMTP server. Here's how to make this change in Outlook:
1.From the "Tools" menu, select "Accounts."
2.Select your Yahoo! POP account and click the "Properties" button.
3.Click the "Advanced" tab.
4.Next to "Outgoing server (SMTP"), change port 25 to 587.
5.Click "Apply." Then click "OK" and "Close."
