Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

New Computer and monitor. No output from HDMI on ATI Radeon 4350 card. VGA works ok. ATI interface does not recognize monitor and I had to force change windows to the right driver for the monitor. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both card and monitor drivers twice. Checked physical seating of card in PCI x slot. Hooked a blueray player to HDMI on monitor and it worked. Deffective card?

Already tried that. It's an HP Elite E9120y computer mated with the HP w2338h 23 inch full HD LCD. The monitor reads "no signal" from the HDMI port and either reverts to VGA if I have it connected or goes to sleep if I don't. I know the port works on the monitor because of the BLUray test I did.

I've already tried the basic stuff - just seeing if I forgot something before I pack it up and drag it back to Bestlie.

Greetings,
I see you already hooked up another device to make sure the TV works with HDMI. You also mentioned that the VGA works too so the right driver for the card is present - or at least, an acceptable/usable driver....

The one thing I have to make sure of is that I have the TV on and in HMDI 1 mode (or 2, 3 etc... wherever you have the cable plugged in) before I hit the personalize button to add the monitor. This was a change for me from VGA!

If that doesn't work, then looks like you will be getting a replacement card! Good luck!!

Hi there,

What is the model number of your monitor?
There is a option in monitor menu to select input as you like - HDMI, DVI or VGA..
Check that....

Good Luck!!

thanks

Change the resolution setting to match that of what your Monitor can handle.

try setting low resolution... check out the result.......

After installing new ATI HD4670 video card on my Gateway zx6810 I boot system hear no beeps computer powers on but screen is black

Hello

Is this new video card the only video source on the PC (i.e. there is no other VGA connections on the PC)?

Without knowing the make and model of the PC, I will list the most common issue when replacing the video card in a PC.

1. Connect the monitor to each available VGA connection and boot the computer - to see if any VGA output is working

2. When you find a working VGA output, go into BIOS and change the VIDEO settings to either allow BOTH the onboard and add in video OR allow the add in video only. Save the changes and turn the computer off.

3. Move the video cable to the add in video card, turn the computer on and see if the BIOS is using the new Video card

I have sapphire ati radeon 5570 graphics card. i have aoc 912sw+ 19 inch lcd monitor. how to connect hdmi port of graphics card with monitor?

the HDMI port is for connecting video and sound to a home theatre / surround sound system. I understand that this monitor only has a VGA connector.

The sapphire ati radeon 5570 graphics card has the following ports on the back to connect to a display: DVI (white), VGA (blue) and DisplayPort (the thin slot in the middle). You can use an ordinary VGA cable to connect the card to your monitor.

Unfortunately you cannot connect this card directly to your monitor using the DisplayPort.

Hope this helps

How do I replace a video card on a T6412 emachine. Monitor not working

This machine have an IGP video solution, an integrated graphic chip, therefore you can replace it. But you can ad one graphic chard, a very cheap one, if you use this machine only for internet browsing and office activities and light video activities.. You have an PCI Express X 16 slot free on your computers motherboard. But first check the functionality of our computer using some other video card, maybe borrowed from a friend.
I can suggest something like ATI Radeon HD 4350 to HD4650 or ATI Radeon HD 5450 to HD 5570. Those entry level graphic cards have HDMI output also.
You have an old system, maybe is not the IGP the only problem. Don't' get any more powerful card as you have a lesser capable power supplier.
Have a nice day.

ATI Radeon HD 4350 will not display red.

Hello,

It could be a problem with the monitor cable.

Try unplugging and re-plugging the PC to monitor cable (VGA cable)

If possible, Use a different monitor to ensure that your video card is working fine.
