Sanyo digital tv seems to have lost its channels. Tried to use the auto program function. I'm in China, so the remote is all in Chinese. Any help on getting my channels back?

Yes, obviously it will only get Chinese channels; those are the channels I am trying to get. Right now it is just not picking them up when I try both auto or manual programming to get any of my channels back.

SOURCE: cant change channels

Your in the video mode so you have to change the input. On the original remote, its the button left of the power button. A universal may not work for this. If you need the original remote, Its available at http://www.remotes.com Good Luck

SOURCE: magnavox with pic tube tv skips over channel 3..goes from 2 to 4

You are right about the auto-programming, but Magnavox no longer has the original remote.

For my answer to be right, you must have posted this question to the EXACT CORRECT model # of your Magnavox TV - 27ms343s:

Press TV on your Verizon remote, and then press "0" and "3"

If that fails:
Press MENU to see the TV’s on-screen
menu. In the menu, use VOL.+/_ and
CH.+/_ to make adjustments or selections.
You can press MENU on either the
remote control or the front of the TV to
access or remove the menu.

SOURCE: sanyo ds 27510 tv no remote want to setup my tv with an antennea, wont switch from video 2

If it has a MENU button, press it and use the volume up and down to manipulate the choices, press menu again when you get to channel setup. you want AIR if using off air or Cable for cable. Next screen should say start and press menu again, the channels will start to cycle. If htat doesnt do it, you have a new model than the one I just did tonight. OneForall remotes will probably not have the setup button you need to autoprogram. Best bet is to find a Sanyo made universal remote or other Sanyo remote on Ebay as alot of the buttons are proprietary to manufacturer. Some TV's are useless without their own remote if not on a external tuner (cable SAT or digital)

Cannot scan for channels on remote

The remote model number doesn't help directly. This remote controls several Sanyo TVs including the DP46142 and DP32242. Manuals Lib has the owner's manual (copyright 2012) here: https://www.manualslib.com/products/Sanyo-Dp46142-77711.html . Press Menu (below and to the left of the arrow keys). Select Setup (the icon that looks like a satellite dish) using the left/right arrows. Press the down arrow and go to ANT/Cable setup. Press OK (in the center of the arrow keys). Use the left/right arrow keys to make sure that the Ant In line is set to Antenna. Press OK. Go down to Auto Setup and press OK. Choose from All Channels, Analog Channels and Digital Channels and press OK again. Select Apply and press OK when the scan is finished. (All channels and Digital Channels will work the same way since most analog channels are no longer broadcasting.) See https://www.manualslib.com/manual/306779/Sanyo-Dp32242.html?page=22#manual . Note: digital channels will not display if the signal strength is low. You may need a different antenna or a different antenna placement. See antennaweb.org or tvfool.com for suggested station transmitters.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(note: the physical buttons on the TV should work to navigate the menu. Use the channel buttons for Up/Down and volume for left right. The OK button is the Input button.)

Accidentally set tv to display what appears to be closed captions during a program, not commercials - in Spanish, not my language - when searching for a way to have closed captioning. It displays on only...

You have a setting on the SETUP on your remote. You have the option to use English or Spanish. Somehow, you must have accidentally changed the language. I did this on one of my TV's.
Just go through the setup again.

Hopefully this will solve your problem.

Lost remote for sanyo ht30746 tv

You can buy an exact remote from a company called Remote control warehouse for 39.95----Google the model number and you will find them.

It is very common that "universal" remotes will do many functions but not ALL that the original remote did--considering this it may be a good idea to get an original remote---part number on this site is: 6450750977for the remote for this model Sanyo.

I hope this helps you and if you have any questions let me know.

Sanyo stuck on video mode

Yippie, I figured out a solution that worked!!! I have a univeral remote from comcast, on that remote near the bottom left is a small button that says (input) tv/vcr, press that one time and whala!! the tv video screen was gone, I had to manually change the channel from the tv channel button on the unit. once I changed the channel to 3, my universal remote worked... the button is the second one from the bottom left... I was on hold with sanyo for a long time and just kept trying on my own, so good luck!!!!
