Question about Panasonic TH-42PWD7UY 42 in. EDTV-Ready Plasma TV

1 Answer

I have a Panasonic TH-42PWD7UY Plasma screen TV. I am trying to hook this TV up for my Mom and she needs Closed Captioning. The TV does not do CC's itself, but the Cable Box does. That said, I cannot get it to work. Box is a Scientific Atlanta 4250HD. Thanks.

I can't get a signal because this tv don't have cable antenna terminal the tv has rgb terminal. I don't know what to do?

RGB is for a computer screen display signal and has nothing to do with TV display of channels. You must have a Component hook up, it is a yellow cable, a red and a white one. Yellow is video signal, the red and white are sound.

Make sure the cable is hooked up then press ok on your remote (or enter). If you have your tv hooked up a different way (like hdmi) just change the tv source to the correct one.

Black box in center of screen

The Panasonic call center helped us with this one. Our Closed Captioning had been turned on through the TV settings. This made us have a black box with everything besides our cable. Turning off CC on our TV Main Menu solved the problem for us.
