Perform the Internet Explorer setup:

1- Open Internet Explorer and go to [Tools] and [Internet Options]
2- Click on "Connections" tab
3- Click on button that says "Setup" and follow the on-screen instructions

If the above doesn't work and your Internet Explorer worked in the last couple days, make sure your browser has not updated to the new Internet Explorer 8 version.
If you have another computer at this location, check if that one can connect to the internet and surf the web
If the above doesn't work (or is not available), your next option is to perform the "System Restore"
1- go to [Start], All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore
2- choose restore my computer to an earlier time and click next
3- choose a date when you last remember internet explorer working and on the window beside it (to the right) choose from the list either "system check point" or something that may be related to updates or Internet explorer (if nothing else, choose System check point)
4- Click next and after the restart, the computer will tell you if it restored successfully.
5- remember, you can only restore to the dates that are in "bold"

Let us know how it goes and rate us. :)

Web page not found

Ensure that your ethernet drivers are installed.
Also navigate to the Control Panel and double click "Network Connections" or "Charge Network Adaptor Settings" for Windows 7.

Now right click eithernet connection and select properties.
Select Internet Protocol and click Properties.
(IVP4 if using Windows 7.)

Ensure that "Obtain automatically" is selected, then click ok and close.
Try to connect to the internet in 2min.

If this does not work then either your router needs to be setup or you are experiencing a hardware problem.

Take care!

You can download the device drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. youre temp files wont stop you from accessing sites but firewall will;if you have antivirus software you can access firewall settings and either tempory disable it or add exceptions(allow various programs) you might wanna try clicking tools, internet option, security;first and select option with lesser security zone.

the excellent connection refers to the wireless signal and not the internet connection, so go to tools on your web browser, internet options, then delete all temp files, history and cookies, close your browser down and open it up again and see if it connects, if not keep clicking refresh.

Try different sites incase there is a fault on the site you are trying to browse.
