Question about SanDisk Sansa m250 MP3 Player

MP3 wouldn't turn on?

I have a SanDisk sana m250 MP3, and i don't know if i messed up my MP3 or not...but it just wouldn't turn on. This is my first time having a MP3, so right after i inserted my batery into the player, and plugged the Mini USB into the computer(without turning the MP3 on), i thought immediately that i can drag/drop songs into the Mp3 music files. So i did that. Then i disconnected the cable and tried to turn on the MP3 and wouldn't turn on. Did i screw up my MP3?

The most common cause is a flat battery. There is a trick to charging the battery in these small mp3 players. It wont charge if it is turned on, and it won't charges if it's turned off. Here what to do...
1. plug the payer into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch thje palyer on using the mechanical switch (on the side)
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting "System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.

How do you put songs on to a sana M250 mp3 ?

The SanDisk Sansa m200 cooperates well with Windows Media Player 10 and subscription-based applications such as Napster To Go; it works without a hitch via drag and drop in Windows Explorer, even automatically organizing your files.

Sansa - sandisk m250 troubleshooting

Try doing a hard reset on a Sansa m250:

  1. Turn off the Sansa. Just pull the battery out for a second and then reinstall the battery without pushing any further buttons.
  2. Plug the Sansa into a computer, and open "My Documents" in the computer.
  3. Open the Sansa file as if it were a drive, then go to the "MUSIC Specific storage" file.
  4. Right click the "MUSIC Specific storage" file, and press "Format."
This should hard reset the Sansa m250. This solution has worked for me.

I do not know if this will work on other Sansa m200 type .mp3 players.

Sansa m250 mp3 problem with songs

The device has 2 modes of operation, if you transferred music in both modes, it is not reflected in the other.

Easiest solution is to format the device to remove everything, then transfer your files back to the device, staying in 1 specific mode.

Best of Luck.

Mp3 "sandisk sansa m250" says no file

Hi, This is a common problem with MP3 players with almost a full memory. Apparently, the firmware gets messed up and eventually losses recognition of its purpose or some of the files it keeps. Sandisk has anticipated this problem and has posted online utilities just for this purpose. They are available at > http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turns up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.

Not enough space to listen

If it''s any consolation, the same thing happened to me after I loaded about 1.6 GB (~250 MB left) of music on my Sansa m250. I tried to delete the required 8MB, but the directory structure got destroyed to the point where my computer wouldn''t recognize the device. I called their technical support and they''re having me send it back to them for a replacement! It''s not you, but the player! I don''t know if there''s anything that can be done from a consumer standpoint.
