I bought an ipod 2gig nano with 117 songs downloaded. I like maybe 30. how can I delete the other songs?

While music is being downloaded from your computer to iPod nano, the iTunes status window shows progress, and the iPod nano icon in the Source list flashes red. When the download is complete, a message in iTunes says “iPod update is complete.” If you set iTunes to download music manually, you can reset it later to update iPod nano automatically. For more information, see “Updating iPod nano Manually” on page 22. To reset iTunes to update iPod nano automatically with all songs and playlists: 1 Open iTunes and select iPod nano in the Source list. 2 Click the Options button and click Music. 3 Select “Automatically update all songs and playlists.” The download begins automatically.

maybe you have to many photos or other stuff on theer taking up the memory i had the same problem till i deleted all that now i have 350 songs on their

in order to delete songs from ipod nano u need to have itunes software. get it download from google for free. install it then plug in the ipod using the itunes and delete the required files.

To remove songs from a playlist on the iPod nano, you typically have to have it docked and connected to your computer.

To remove a song, video, or other item from iPod nano:

1. In iTunes, select iPod nano in the source list.
2. Select a song or other item on iPod nano and press the Delete or Backspace key on your keyboard.
   

First of all i didnt report a problem on a 'ipod video 30gb black......its a 2gb silver nano....and based solely on this one email, i'd be more comfortable simply buying another ipod rather than dealin with maybe this,or try that.......hell i could've already bought a new one and installed the music in this length of time......at some point you would think that these 2 systems would be a little more end user friendly and ya wouldn't need an IT degree to do basic stuff.....oh wait,sorry i drifted off into fantasy land....anyhow thanks for your concerns about my problem.Good luck!

Go to itunes and click on a song that you want to delete and press the delete button on your keyboard and it will ask you if you are sure you want to delete this song from all playlists and off the ipod and click yes and it will delete. Unfortunately, it will not let you delete it from the ipod menu without connecting it to a computer.

Use iTunes 8 to sync or delete songs, photos, etc. Just connect the iPod to computer, download iTunes 8 from the internet, open iTunes 8, and then double-click on the icon of the iPod Nano to Sync files to your Nano.

maybe the you either need two get a new verison of itunes my ipod once wasnt regomize and it was because i needed 2 upgrade the itunes

EACH TIME YOU HOOK UP TH EIPOD IT REINSTALLS ALL THE EXISTING SONGS ALONG WITH NEW ONES. YOU CANNOT DELETE THEM AFTER YOU INSTALL THEM OR THEY WILL ALL BE DELETED THE NEXT TIME YOU HOOK IT UP.
