Regular batteries are ok as long as you DON'T PUT PHONE ON THE CHARGER. The alkaline batteries could explode if put on charger. I asume these are cordles phones

Tip

Dropped it it water?

This happens quite often, someone accidentally drops their camera, mobile phone or whatever electrical device in water.

Always worth trying, but can't guarantee the outcome, some times it works ok, sometimes it doesn't but, it doesn't make anything worse either.

First and most important thing to do is take the batteries out. Straight away as soon as physically possible.

ie;- out of the water , out come the batteries, out come any memory cards.

With luck you've saved it, now open any cover or slots that you can and pour out any water that will come.

Dry it off and take it home then put it in a warm dry place for a few days some where like an airing cupboard or above (not on) a radiator.

Give it time to dry out thoroughly, if there's any mist on the screens, its not ready, then put the batteries back in and give it a go.....................good luck

My phone was submerged in water for about 90 seconds. Will it still work and how long should I wait before trying it?

You should probably wait for a few days to ensure it's completely dry on the inside. I have heard other folks suggest that putting the phone in a bowl of white rice for a few days is a great way to dry it out. The rice will absorb the moisture.

Did the case cover the entire phone or just the sides and back like most?

My son dropped his phone in the ocean will not come on

It most likely is dead. Whenever this happens you should immediately remove the battery. If that is not possible turn the phone off. From there, letting the phone dry by putting it in a Ziploc bag with rice for several days sometimes will fix the phone.
I once dropped mine in a pool. I popped the battery off, dried it out with the rice method and tried to get it working again. It did not work until I replaced the battery but the phone was fine after that.

I dropped my phone in water but icked it up right

Remove the battery and immerse both the phone and the battery in dry uncooked rice for three days. This is the only cheap way to dry everything out. After the three days put the battery back in the phone and it should be OK

Phone is wet. dropped the phone in the rain...it was left outside 45 minutes

One time that happened to us tho it was actually dropped in a pool. We took battery out and dried it for a couple days. When we put the battery back in, it ACTUALLY worked. May not work for everyone or every phone but worth a try.

I dropped my phone in a pool and i took the battery out right away and let it sun dry for 2 hours then i set it in rice for over night what shall i do next I NEED HELP.

Blow into it with your hairdryer without heat. Do it for a minute or so many times to remove water traces from the insides. Do not put the heat on else it may get toasted.
