You need a print server unless the printer already has a ethernet card already installed.

Can i print off via roter to my printer

Yes hook printer up to your router, if applicable. Then all computers that are hooked to the same network on your router should be able to see and print to it. I would set the printer to have a "Static IP Address." This means it will be the same address overtime(versus DHCP, which varies) Good Luck!

All you should need to do is connect the HP printer to your wireless router via Ethernet cable (which should be included with the printer). Follow the instructions that came with your printer to set it up on your computer.

Can i hook my printer to this router Linksys wireless-g 2.4ghz

You want to connect a printer to the network.
If you have Ethernet port on the printer then you can connect it to the router with the ethernet cable. IF it is wireless printer then you will need to connect to the wireless network on the printer. In both the cases you will need to set up your printer as a network printer. If you contact the manufacturer of the printer they will tell you how to do it.
If you do not have ethernet port on the printer and it has only USB port and it is not a wireless printer then you will need a print server. You can purchase a wireless print server and you can set it up so that all the computers will be able to print onthe same printer.
If you have only the USB port and you don't want to use print server, then you can connect your printer to one of your computer. Enable File and printer sharing on all the computer. If you go to microsoft.com and search for file and printer sharing, you will get steps to enable file and printer sharing.
If you want to check the wireless settings of the router, you will need to open the set up page of the router .

Did you plug your printer to the system connected to the router or you plug it directly to the router.
What you are to do is to plug the printer to the server system and share the printer on the server so that all the remaining system could share it and from there you print ok

Help setting up my home network.

If your printer only has a usb cord than u will want to hook it up to one of your pc's and set it up as a shared network printer. If it has an ethernet port you can hook it up directly to a router or switch.

PS to set your printer as shared goto ControlPanel > Printers > Right click on your printer > Click Sharing... Set it up to have a name you'll reconize and you should be good togo.

Setting up printer on home network

Because your printer is not either wireless or network capable, the only way to get the results you need is to purchase a usb print server, hook it to your router, set it up through it's management console, and if your router is wireless, you can hook up to your router and print to your printer with your desktop turned on or off.
