Question about Sanyo DS27910 27" TV

1 Answer

Spiral line descending across screen

While watching TV all of a sudden it developed a problem that only seems to affect the screen (the sound works fine). The picture now looks over-exposed and there is a light-colored sprial line about 1/8" wide with about 1.25" between loops. It is an RCA that is a little old, but has a good-sized screen and a nice picture. I'd love to be able to use her for a few more years. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like something has hit your screen and pretty hard at that, id replace it beacuse the crystals in the screen are leaking out and the class probably has micro cracks that bend the screen in but not visably. I'd replace the screen or just get a new one.

My Panasonic plasma TV has suddenly developed a one pixel thick horizontal black line across the screen. It is not there when the TV is switched off.

it'll not be there when tv off because dead pixels do only show when back light of screen comes on, anyway if you still have a warranty then ask for them to check it out as it sounds like you need a new screen there mate

Vertical colour lines on whole screen

The problem is that the panel has failed. Apparently this is a common problem with LCD TV's between 18 mths and 3 yrs old. If it survives over 3 yrs it is likely to last for a few years longer. The cost of replacing the panel is more than a replacement TV!
