OS Maverick very slow after time capsule backup

Use the App "Activity Monitor" to see what process is driving hard. if not already open: open the activity monitor window. Click the CPU% tab and show highest percentages at the top (should be an upside down triangle) may have to click the CPU% twice to do this. now the Activity monitor is showing you what processes are eating up your computers power. Google the process/es . It may be indexing the drive, which can take a long time. there are other processes too, that you should just let it do. once they are done, then things should be good. Such is the case for me when I upgraded to Mavericks.

Can not remove capsule and lever stuck

I had a similar problem, and it was down to high pressure remaining in the machine preventing the lever from releasing. You can test this by pressing the capsule in the machine (which will be much more solid than normal).
To fix, all you need to do is make a hole in the stuck capsule. I did this by drilling a small hole in the side of the capsule.
That releases the pressure (and a little spurt of coffee!), and the lever will release.

Trying to update firmware on y airport extreme but i forgot my password

You need to perform a soft reset of your router. There directions to do this from the Apple web site are:
  1. Connect the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule to power.
  2. Press and hold the reset button with a pen or pencil for 1 full second, then release it. The light (LED) will begin flashing amber, indicating that the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule is in soft reset mode.
  3. From the AirPort menu bar item, choose the network created by the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule (the network name does not change).
  4. Open AirPort Utility in Applications > Utilities on a Mac using Mac OS X, and in Start > All Programs > AirPort on a computer using Windows.
  5. Select the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule and click Continue.
  6. A window indicating that the device has been reset will appear.
  7. Select "Restore the previous settings" and select OK.
  8. Move through subsequent windows to make changes to your passwords or other settings as desired, clicking Continue after each one.
  9. When you have moved through all of the selection windows you will be able to select Update. Click Update to install the new settings.
  10. Click Continue to allow your AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule to restart.
  11. Quit AirPort Utility.

These directions are from the Apple Support Web Site:

The perfect CAD computer at a poor man's price.

I can't think of one, but most of the Business Computers have the reliability and that is the no. 1 factor. I have been in this business more than 33 years and I have some of the hardware still in my garage. Why? No time. If you are doing CAD work, it would be foolish to waste your precious time building computers. What I have done for my scientific computer, is that after I measured all the temperatures, I realized that they all were about 10oC too high. So, I added two small blowers and my temperature decreased by 10oC. Now I can run programs overnight and I leave my office, knowing that there would be no problems during the night. If you really want to have another CAD computer, I can put it together for you, instead of buying all these toys that you don't know if the next second they will still be alive. I will try to make a deal with my employer and get their permission first. How much experience do you have with the CAD software? and the CAD OS. The best Cad OS is any of the LInux distributions; I like Mandriva and/or Ubuntu. To begin with you will not need to worry about any kind of antivirus device, because the Linux system is totally impervious to virus, and all the malwares. In fact on my machine they did not even make mention of the word antivirus or antimalware. Do you know what it consts? Zero, zero and another zero. Another benefit is that when you download the free ****, along with the OS, come all the possible combinations of software that may be required for the enxt five years. Read up on Linux (a Mac is another Windows that just takes longer to operate. Then feel free and get in touch with me: <arzobconst@yahoo.com> Thank you for your consideration and choice of our service. My name is Constantin (arzconst is my nickname with Fixya.com)

Griddle burner wont spark

Make certain the burner and burner base are very clean by carefully washing in warm soapy water, using a plastic brush to scrub any residue off the surfaces. Also clean the spark ignition nub in this same way.
