Model pod712mw microwave doesnot work oven simply stopped working

If there is a fuse, it will be located inside the oven behind the control panel. Gain access to the panel and inspect for signs of fuse. If not, and the oven has no power whatsoever, for any function, and the power supply is good, then there will be a fault in the appliance somewhere. Most likely the brain.

Generally, the fuse is located in one of the panels on the front, behind the control panel/knobs. Keep in mind that a lot of stoves don't have the fuse no, its silly really. I reemmber in other customer problems that the problem was a temperature control regulator that had burned out,

Will need to check and re-check all internal components in your device.

Hope helps.

Tappan oven "turns on" by "itself" ??? Control

I cannot solve this problem yet. We have the same problem. However in ours if we turn the temperature know to off (the other knob is set to off - time bake, bake, broil, clean, etc - set to off) then it will not run. Somehow that temperature knob with the electrical control is making it turn on. Ours started to do this on the same day!

My oven is at least 15 degrees cooler than it should be. Since I have a digital stove, does that mean it cannot be repaired?

Try this

Turn oven temperature knob to OFF.

2. Press and hold both arrow pads for approximately 5 seconds.

3. A double digit will display ranging from -35 °F to 35 °F.

4. Immediately, press either:

• to increase oven temperature by 5 °F

• to decrease oven temperature by 5 °F

• When temperature is adjusted to a cooler setting, a minus sign (-) will

display with the offset temperature.

5. When desired temperature change is displayed, release control and

change will be automatically saved after a few seconds. Control will

return to time of day display.
• Offset temperature change will be retained through a power failure.
The complete manual can be downloaded at www.appliancehelponline.com just enter your model # and the manual will be on the left hand side.

Whirlpool Stove oven temperature not accurate

This unit has a calibration function which can compensate for temperature errors of +/-30 deg F. Hold the BAKE button for 4 seconds to enter this mode. Use the Temp UP/DN buttons to adjust the temperature offset. Push START to enter the new offset.

Also, the typical manual oven thermometers are notoriously inaccurate.

If this doesn't solve your problem, next items may be the temperature sensor or control board. If it is the control board we may be able to repair it for you at www.fixyourboard.com.

Jenn-Air stove locked

After the lock indicator light goes out, move the door lock lever to the left. The oven door can now be opened. Turn the selector and temperature knobs from clean to off AFTER THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED. If the temperature knob is turned to off BEFORE the door is unlocked, the door will not open. Forcing the lock will damage the lock mechanism. If this should happen, return the temperature knob back to CLEAN, unlock the door, THEN turn the temperature knob off. Stove to hot burns everything

This is a simple fix as long as the oven is heating properly and the only problem is that the temp seems higher than what the temperature control knob indicates...

Purchase an inexpensive oven thermometer from the hardware store and place it in the center of the oven. Set the temperature control knob to 350 degrees F.

Check the temperature indicated on the thermometer in the oven after 20 minutes. If it's not within 5 degrees of 350, you'll need to adjust the oven's temperature control.

Turn the oven off.

Pull off the temperature control knob. You can usually pull it off by hand, pry it off with a thin screwdriver, or slide a piece of cord up behind it and pull.

Note which kind of temperature control knob you have. There are two types: The first has a screw in the shaft of the knob; the second has an adjustment dial on the back of the knob.

Adjust the temperature with the first type by turning the screw in the shaft with a screwdriver. Turn it clockwise to lower the temperature; turn it counterclockwise to raise the temperature. Turn the screw just a little bit in the appropriate direction.

Adjust the temperature with the second type of knob by turning the dial on the back of the knob. (This dial is held in place with a screw or a clip that will need to be removed.) Raise the temperature setting by turning the dial counterclockwise; lower it by turning the dial clockwise. The notches are typically in 5 or 10-degree increments.

Test the oven temperature again.

Repeat until you're in the right temperature range.

Good Luck!
