Problem with 50" LG Plasma-PC1DR

We have a 50" PC1DR Plasma tv that we have had 2 & 1/2 yrs and now Is acting up- won't stay on and turns itself off. It seems to be getting worse. We nolonger have a warranty on this. What can we do at this point?

It could possibly be something wrong with the computer inside the tv. And you can either pay to get it repaired or buy a new one unfortunately. I would try to contact the makers of the tv though first and make sure to have the model number and all of that ready.

have you checked that it aint full up with dust it might be overheating

The plasma TV has the following common problems:
Power suppy board have caps defective.
Y board and buffers problem
Mainboard defective (least happen)
For your case, the problem comes from etheir power suppy board or from Y board and buffers. You need technician to help finding out the corret problem.
