Weedeater trimmer not engaging

I have a 705r weedeater & while taking it apart to f eplace the fuel lines, I apparently did something to keep the head from turning eventhough the engine now runs. What do I need to do to get the head to engage?

You'll probably need to remove the carb and clean it out. Sounds like the fuel passages may be clogged.

Blades not moving on ss24 weedeater

I just disassembled a SS24 hedge trimmer that had the same problem of the blades not moving. The problem is that there are 2 or 3 teeth on the helical gear that are missing. Consequently, the small gear on the motor shaft cannot continuously engage the gear that moves the blades back and forth.

Replaced Poulan 25cc weedeater fuel lines/Now no start

You have/had a fuel filter in the tank. The connector goes to that filter, I think. The length does mean something but I don't know any way to figure it without a manual. You could try to figure from the total length. The fuel filter hold the line toward the bottom. Good luck.

I re-tubed my trimmer and now the bulb won't prime

I had exactly the same problem. On my weedeater, there is a screen in the carb under the primer bulb that was dirty from the fuel line falling apart. After replacing the fuel line AND cleaning the screen, the primer bulb will move fuel and it runs great.

Weedeater fuel line oopsy

I fed the fuel line up through the bottom, attached the filter and pulled it backk towards the hole in the bottom of the tank. I then used a brake adjustment tool to first push the filter back in place (with the line attached) then hold by pressing down on the top of the filter while I hooked up the little plastic clamp.
All that seems to work fine but the weed eater won't idle AT ALL.
