Question about Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Camera
When you are copying the pictures to your computer, you select the photos you want to copy and click NEXT. Then on the next screen there is a checkbox marked "Delete these pictures from my device". Check that box and they will be deleted after they are copied.
You can also connect the camera to your PC and navigate to the camera using Windows Explorer. Right click your start button and choose Explore, then double-click your Canon and select any photos, then press delete.
You can also reformat your memory stick if you wish to erase all the pictures at once. This can be done while connected to a PC or by looking in your camera's manual (available from the Canon website).
If you wish to delete one picture at a time, see page 19 in your camera's manual. Put the camera in playback mode, use the left and right arrows to go to the photo you wish to delete and press the button that looks like a trash can. It's on the lower part of the ring surrounding the center button.
