I suspect you have not plugged them back into the correct socket. The plug is coloured green and therefore should go back into the green socket. you have probably plugged it back into the blue or pink sockets. Use a torch to check that is in the green one.

Bios setup does not show sata HD windos xp find them

Hi,
I have had problems like this many times with some of my IBM machines. What i find most often the reason the bios will not recognize them is because the hard drive has gone bad.
Troubleshooting 1. Unplug power cable from computer before doing anything inside of the computer. Unplug sata cable from motherboard and hard drive. Unplug power cable from hard drive.
Plug the sata cable back into the motherboard and into the hard drive. Plug the power cable back into the hard drive. Plug the power cable back into the computer.
Boot computer and enter bios(by pressing F8, Enter, Del ect..) Does the hard drive show in there now?
2. If you have another hard drive.
Unplug power cable from computer before doing anything inside of the computer. Unplug sata cable from hard drive. Unplug power cable from hard drive.
Plug the sata cable into the second hard drive. Plug the power cable into the second hard drive. Plug the power cable back into the computer.
Boot up the computer and enter the bios. Does this hard drive show in the bios? If so then i would say that your original hard drive has gone bad.

Each time i push print i get a message back that say's printer can not communicate with computer. how can i fix it.

First try to restart the computer.
If this does not work power the computer down then unplug your printer from the computer.
Unplug your printer from the wall and wait 1 minute then plug it back in.
Turn your computer back on and after it is finished "booting up" plug your printer back in.

My Lexmark x9350 only turns on and off if I plug and unplug...

This, probably, is a power issue on the printer. Unplug the printer from the computer. Unplug the power supply from the printer (it's the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached). Try not to use any power strips or extensions for the power cord. If possible, plug the power cord straight to the wall outlet. With the power cord plugged in straight to the power outlet, plug the power supply back in the printer. That should refresh the printer. When everything's powered on, plug printer to computer. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.

My hp w1907 monitor has suddenly stopped working!!as soon as i turn on the tower it just displays"monitor is going to sleep"PLEASE HELP!!!

I love this one. I've actually done this many times before and have been successful.

1. Turn the computer off and unplug the power cord from the back of the tower.

2. Press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds while the computer is unplugged (this drains the remaining power from the capacitors on the motherboard).

3. Plug the computer back in and turn it on.

If that does not work, follow steps 1 and 2 again, but this time:

3. Open the computer while it is unplugged and unplug the power supply from the motherboard then hold down the power button again for 3 seconds. (You may also want to take the RAM out and put in back in)

4. Plug everything back in and turn the computer on.

Computer power would not shut off, unplugged computer, now when you plug in computer, power comes on, but there is "no signal" displayed on monitor.

Hopefully, unplugging the computer forcefully didn't damage any of the components.

There are a couple things you could try. First thing, unplug your computer, open it up, and try to:

  1. Remove each of the RAM modules from the motherboard and put them back in.
  2. Check to see if any expansion cards are connected, try removing and re-inserting them as well.
  3. Unplug the power supply (Big box in the top corner, usually) from the motherboard. Unplug all the cables and plug them back.

Make sure the cable is plugged into the video in. Shut down the computer and unplug it. Unplug you monitor again and also check conections by removing the cable make sure no pins are bent on the monitor or the conection to the computer. Plug all back in. Turn the monitor on first and then the computer. I hope this helps. If not let me know I will need so more info. Good Luck.
