Matsui MF160 dishwasher is running programme but is cold. All lights etc are on as normal, beeps at end of programme. I have replaced the heating element, but it is still cold. Any ideas?

Your reply, It sounds like there is a short somewhere in the line running to the heating element. You probably did not need the replacement, and hopefully can return the one you got. I would trace the wires from the heating element if it was me personally, unless you know that it's getting hot at that point.

Am I looking for physical damage? what do you mean by 'getting hot at that point' what point?

Let me know.

I meant getting physically warm on the heating element. If it's not even warm after running a cycle it indicates that it's not getting power.

Also, yes, check the line for physical damage, possibly melting / burning, or a loose connection.

    Please let me know

    Thanks
    Tim

Matsui mf160 beeping then stops and wont select programme

I had the same problem today. The good news is I fixed it without replacing any parts. I tried a few things which may have worked so I will list them all. I'm not sure which one worked so try the easy ones first.
Fill the salt and rinse aid depensers up.
Once it starts beeping continously close the door and let it drain itself. Do this several times. Turn it off and leave it for a minute between goes. With the power button light on leave the door open slightly for about 15minutes, mine beeped after about 7 minutes and it had reset itself.
At the bottom of the dishwasher underneath there is an anti flood switch. My tray had water in it and caused the float to rise up and activate the switch which stops it from working. Easiest way to drain it is to pull the dishwasher out put down a load of towels and tip it backwards until all the water is gone. I found it easier to check for water through the right handside side panel, it comes off pretty handy. I also removed the upper front cover to check the door catch switch. Just make sure its not broken and not wore down etc. I also sprayed it lightly with WD40. Try disconnecting the wated inlet pipe at the back once you have turned the water off. Mine had a lot of pressure in it which it should probably should have but read somewhere else it solved their issue. I then stripped both sides off laid the machine on its back, make sure to disconnect the water inlet pipe and took apart the drain pump. If your looking at the back its on the right hand side, mine was dark grey and was attached by two screws to the side panel. There is 4 or 5 screws which hold the drain pump together. Unscrew these and again there will be a build up of pressure and water released. There might be a foreign object stuck in here which will stop the blades turning. Check the espares youtube channel on how to remove this, thats what I did. After all this mine didnt work straight away and I had given up. But I left the power on with the door open slightly and after 7 minutes it beeped and I was able to select a program as normal. Maybe the turning over on its back and release did the trick Im not sure but give it a go. Good luck

Matsui MF160 door tension is still strong after adjustment. Program cycle takes 150mins

Time consumption depends on the cycle chosen. For a full complete wash 150 mts is ok.

Also check whether water flow to your machine is free from clogging! Check the strainer attched to the water whose connecting junction.

We have a matsui mf160 dishwashwasher and it is struggling to get items clean - esp greasy items - i have also noticed it is not hot at the end of the cycle so i think the problem is there is no hot water....

The dishwasher's heater is likely shot. Get a new heating element. The same heater drys and the end but also heats the hot water during the wash cycle. No hot water = dirty dishes.

Matsui mf160 starts its wash cycle and timer stops

on most machines, the timer will not run if the water is not up to temp. if the inside is plenty hot mid-cycle, then your heating element is probably good. it is the thermometer that needs located and checked. if the inside is not steamy, then your heating element is the most likely culprit.
don't hate your dishwasher. it just wants to make sure that you get a full wash cycle at a hot enough temp. to get the dishes clean. good luck

Matsui dishwasher mf160

I used the solution I found for a slightly different fault, ( this was the same fault but without the bleebs)
switch off mains and turn off water. Then disconnect water pipe and lay machine on it's back. Switch on electrics, and allow water to run out. Switch off electrics and stand machine up .Reconnect everything and hey presto I can hear two good things, the machine gently humming, and my wife telling me what a genius I am !!

Matsui MF145 beeping continuously

You might want to check the salt and rinse levels on your dishwasher.
Ours was doing the exact same thing and we refilled the dishwasher salt and it worked again. Unscrew the plastic thing on the bottom of the dishwasher and fill it up with about 1 kilo of dishwasher salt, water will flow out when you do this and you can put at least 2 kilos in.
Hope that helps xxx
