It's possible, Buffy/Angel and 'Cabin in the Woods' all feature otherworldly threats and secret government organisations (The Initiative trying to exploit them, The Conspiracy trying to appease them and Shield trying to combat them). Humanity may have left Earth to establish the Firefly/Serenity colonies after the 'Cabin in the Woods'/Dollhouse apocalypses and this would explain Paris being in ruins at the end of Alien; Resurrection. We also have the doll Miss Edith belonging to vampire Drusilla from Buffy/Angel in the basement in Cabin in the Woods and Thor glimpsing the three figures dressed as a Wolf, a Ram and Hart in his dream in Avengers; Age of Ultron, Wolfram and Hart being the villains from Angel.

What did Jesse see at Quincannon's place in the flashback

Odin was the CEO of QM&P then, unless the present is Odin jr. I think what Jesse saw was Odin's sex doll made of raw meat.

Are some titles from Looney Tunes Golden Collection still under public domain?

All shorts on that list (with the notable exception of Crowing Pains - which was found out to have it's copyright renewed in 1974) are still under the public domain. However, I've heard from some sources that Warner has placed copyrights on the restorations used for the Golden Collections.

How does the anime version of the show differ from the manga version of the story?

The anime is paced far slower than the manga, and features a number of "filler" sagas that weren't in the original manga. These had to be added into the anime to keep pace with the release of the manga, which was still being put out as the anime was being made. As these fillers were created with only minimal involvement with Akira Toriyama, they often contradict major plot points of the series. For instance, the entire Garlic Jr. Saga was a creation of Toei Animation, and does not appear at all in Toriyama's manga. Some filler segments are merely fights from the manga that are extended, as well as drawn-out extended scenes of characters powering up. Amusingly, most of the complaints people have about the show stem from anime-only filler and aren't problems that exist in the original manga.

How realistic is Oz?

Tom Fontana has always said that he willingly sacrifices factual accuracy for dramatic purposes. In particular, Fontana has indicated that he believes that maximum security wings like Emerald City are significantly safer than depicted on his show. Chuck Zito, who plays Chucky Pancamo on the show, and who is one of only two cast members(the other is 'muMs da Schemer') to serve prison time, has commented that Oz is a heightened version of the reality of prison. The amount of violence, sexual assaults, and drug abuse which is depicted on the show is far in excess of reality, but most of the activities depicted have a basis in fact.

What exactly happened to the first chick and duck? It says they died, but does it ever say how?

In the final episode when Joey buy Monica and Chandler and new baby chick and duck, it is revealed that Joey was told they were sent to a farm when they got old, obviously protecting Joey from the fact that they either died or were put down. The last time you hear from the Duck is in an early season 7 episode where Joey says the Duck was throwing up all over the place and he did NOT eat Rachel's face cream.
