If it's possible, install a small computer style fan and direct the air stream over the power supply. You should then get another 10 years out of it. Unit needs ventilation and cooling air. Hopefully, it isn't installed in tight quarters.

LG 32LD450 TV is completely dead, power supply with blown fuse on primary, how to fix?

Unless you have electronics repair experience, you will need to replace the power supply. If you do have some repair experience, I would check for any shorted diodes, bridge rectifier, switching mosfet, or a cap on the primary side. Replacing the fuse will not solve your problem.

My hitachi 29in ctv power supply 110vac had a problem on zener diode will blown if we switch on the tv. what spare parts to change so that the power supply zener diode will not blown again and the supply...

The secondary output voltage comes out from is more than it should be there. That is why, the protection zener diode blows off, as soon as you switch ON the set. First find and repair the power supply regulator, for correct output voltage. Refer its repair book for details. After repair include the zener diode in place. OK.

Hi I got PMP3000 and all of a sudden in the program smoke came out of the unit and I unplugged the Mixer...I have given it to repair and they saying the Main power SMPS has blown out..they charging too...

Sorry... you likely have one of the power amp channels bad as well. One does NOT replace the power supply, instead repair it. You need a competent repair shop. I can tell you what parts are blown on the supply. They cost about $30 max for parts to repair the power supply. There usually is about $15 of parts blown on the amp that caused the problem and significant labor to repair the amp portion. If the smoke was dark or heavy, it was likely from the 0.03 ohm metering resistor on the bottom of the amp circuit board that caused the original problem. If one replaces the power supply and turns power on they will find one side of the amp doesn't work and MAY blow the power supply again immediately. I have repaired several of these units and have walked others through the repair sequence as well. You can contact me directly by email for more info if you need it. Unless you can find a competent repair shop that replaces components, including work on surface mounted boards, the cost of the module parts AND availability will preclude repair. The amp module is another $155 after the power supply is repaired if a channel is bad and one chooses to replace rather than repair.

Hello,

This type of monitor problem is usually cause by a failure of the capacitors in the power supply board. What is happening is the power supply is not starting up correctly so the back lights are not coming up to full brightness. Here is a link to a repair guide that will show you how to dis-assemble the unit and repair the power supply board. http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/repairing-the-samsung-225bw-22-monitor/
If you can do a little soldering then you can do the repair yourself.

Timer green blinking light. will not turn on. I think it could be a bad DM Module. What do you think? Repair manual for free?

Hi. I see this type problem from time to time.
What has happened, is that more than likely you have blown capacitors, either on the convergence board, on the power supply, or on the main board.
These capacitors were supposed to last 23-30 years, but due to lack of quality control by the parts manufacturer, they only have been lasting around 5-8 years instead on average.
Some are only lasting a few months before they are going out.
When caps blow out, they look like exploded batteries.
Swollen, split, leaking fluid, and some even pop like a balloon.
Be careful when handling them, the solution in the caps can be hazardous to your health.
But, at least it's not whole modules that are burnt out, only the caps.
If you are good doing the DIY thing, unsolder the damaged ones, taking note of all markings on them, as you will have to go to an electronics supply store like RadioShack to get new ones.
Also, don't forget to ground yourself when working in the back of the tv, just because some of the caps are blown, doesn't mean ALL the caps are blown.
They can contain significant power in them, and a zap in the wrong place could turn your tv from damaged, into dumpster-bait.
When you get new ones, regardless of what the part says on it, it MUST be low-esr rated caps, not high-esr.

This is vital for proper functions of the power supply.

I hope this helps you out some today, and good luck!

My amp, was working fine last night, it wont turn on, and i tried switching guitar, cables, even power supplys and still wont turn on, i heard a pop last time i used my amp, and then the signal was lost...

The unit will require repair and if you are not adept at electronics, you will need to take it to a shop. Likely there is failure in the power supply or amplifier that has blown the fuse. Replacing the fuse WITHOUT repairing the cause MAY do additional damage.

Black screen no video no audio suddenly now

This set is a 50" plasma. first check the AC power fuse on the filter board then: if it is bad: check the power supply by marking and, removing all the cables; (so you can put them back in the correct spot) except the filter board to power supply cable; that connects to the Power supply board. Then: replace the blown AC fuse and, re-power: If the power supply blows the fuse: again, the power supply is bad and, must be replaced or, repaired. If the fuse does not blow: turn off the set then: on again, reconnecting and, disconnecting each board cable in turn, untill the fuse blows again this cable leads to the bad board; replace or, repair the board that blows the AC fuse every time the bad board is connected, irregardless of which other cable to the power supply may be connected also; or, not.

Won't power on...

The TV probably has an internal short, most likely in the power supply. If you open it, you will probably find the main fuse is blown (which is why it didn't trip the breaker again. Don't bother replacing the fuse until you find and fix the short - you'll just blow the new fuse and probably trip the breaker again.

Monitor just went dim.

Hello,

The blinking power button indicates a short in the power supply which is then not putting out the full voltage needed to give a bright display. This is a very common problem with LCD monitors after 2-3 years of service. It is caused by heat buildup in the case causing parts called capacitors to blown out causing the power supply to short out which in turn make the power light just blink. You can repair it yourself if you can solder. We have a repair diagram posted on our web site at: www.ccl-la.com Replace the parts shown and you will be back up and running. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service for $35 plus return shipping. Let us know if you have any other questions about the unit or the repair.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

My 565 has power but it will not turn on

You guys will need to take the ounder to a Humminbird service center and have them check the poswer circuit. More times than nor we see blown circuits (usually easily fixable by a competent repair depot) because of no inline fuse or too large a fuse rating. Max should be 3 amps for this model.
Best of luck!
