Question about LG WM-2277HW Front Load Washer

What is the best way to pack an LG washer for moving? I hate to pay someone (though I will if needed) to prepare my LG washer for moving. Are there kits on the market for preparing the washer or does anyone know how?

Reinstall the 4 "shipping screws" on back of unit. they were removed when you had the machine delivered. they hold the drum and prevent it from moving around.

Pack it in the same way that it arrived when you bought it. You can always go back to the store where they sell it and get some further advice.

Hi, I need to order door lock for LG washer WD-1243FHB

There are many many online parts stores for washing machines and other appliances. You need to shop for best prices. Be prepared to pay extra for shipping and have a longer waiting period.

I know a local small business repairman who orders any parts I need at his cost and a smaller shipping cost. I don't have to wait as long and he is very helpful--if not amused--with my efforts at fixing things.

Go with the small business if looking locally. They can get any part the big stores can, and will often charge you less. Plus, the parts usually come in the next day.

2004 dodge caravan, new transmission only 50,000 km ago..Now they say I need a solenoid pack, even though there is no leak, but it's making a funny noise shifting gears. Any suggestions. It sounds like...

You can change that solenoid pack in about 30 minutes. But I would reset the adaptive memory of the TCM first before you replace the solenoid pack. Are you getting it to go into limp mode or is it setting codes in the TCM? Can you describe the noise?

I have a LG WM0532HW. What are the drum bolt sizes thr.& length

Hello Jeff,

Unfortunately, these are specially made bolts that have threads only on the first section of the bolt, so they can secure the wash drum and not interfere with anything else. You also need the special sleeves for the bolts. I would not try to use standard bolts from a hardware store, as they could damage the wash drum if you overtightened them or they were too long. LG, and most washer manufacturers, don't publish the size, thread count and length of their transport (shipping) bolts, hence the reason they advise to keep them for future use.

So if you're only moving the washer down a set of stairs, you should be fine if you take it easy and either hand carry it with two (2) people, or use an appliance truck to move it down the stairs.

If, however, you're looking to move the washer any distance via truck, etc., you'll want the shipping transport bolts and sleeves to keep the drum and suspension system from getting damaged.

You're best bet is to get in touch with LG customer support and obtain a set of the transport bolts. You can reach them by callling them from 8AM to 8 PM toll free at 1-877 714-7486 and follow the prompts to reach customer support.

Here's a link to the owner's manual for your washer, just in case you've misplaced yours.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

LG dishwasher always smells moldy

could be a very small leak with the hoses leading into the washer, there is insulation around the washer that is a breeding ground for mold. I would recommend you have someone with decent mechanical experience, doesn't need to be a plummer just someone who knows how to use tools, pull the washer out refit the hoses with new seals and replace the insulation. Also the vinegar does work to help clean your washer, it removes calcium and other mineral build ups throughout the washer.

Lost or not retained shipping bolts

Just looked at mine (we had to order them before the military would move ours). They are two different sizes, have a long plastic washer (lengthwise), and are - believe it or not - like a lag bolt on the end! A hybrid mess meant to force us to order them, if you ask me. Not sure you should try rigging it, best if you order them, you'll see what I mean when you get them. Sorry, we were in the same boat too. Wish I never bought this LG, but that's for another post.

How do I prep my Kenmore Elite He5t washer for move to new house

Washers n dryers usually require some balancing after a move to the new area, and when you lift the washer on a dolly, you lift it from the rear. Assuming you've already tipped the washer slighlty to one side, checked the bottom for which side has the most metal underneath. This is best done with 2 people. Do the same with the dryer. The braces are used to help balance or to keep from tipping when the machine was packed inside a large box.

Need to purchase the connection cord for the printer. We lost the one that came with the printer.

Just need to purchase the cord for the LEXMARKX85 PRINTER. Daughter moved and packed her belongings and now cannot find the cord to the printer. Tried to buy one but was told her printer was too old and parts are no longer available. This printer was quite expensive and we hate to have to buy another printer. This one has all the bells and whistles so she wants to keep it. Thanks.
I'm sure your service is worth paying for, however, this is such a simple problem I hate to have to subscribe to a continueing service contract.Thank you very much for answering my request.

LG Front Load Washer Problem

The washer is not leveled correctly.  You will need to adjust the front feet to level the machine.  Run a load of clothes in the washer.  When it gets to the spin mode, check the level of the machine by pushing the front left corner and the front right corner.  If the noise quiets down on either corner of the machine, adjust the legs on that side.

Keep getting UE code

You have a problem with the ball switch sensor in the back of the unit.  I have seen this problem where the delivery people actually dented the back panel so badly that the ball sensor was jammed up against the tub and kept going into UE error code.  Check to make sure that there is no large dents in the back of the unit.  If everything looks normal, then you will need to call and qualified LG technician to service this problem.
