How do I reset the toner low on brother 8065dn

At one side of the brother toner cart there is a WHITE PLASTIC POINTER. open the screw that fitted the white ring then slowly take out the white ring and push the POINTER to the OTHER END of the white ring. this should reset the page count. then fix the white ring to original position.remember to switch of the printer when you put back the toner to the printer. good luck to you and GOD bless you.

How do i reset code error c6100

Hello there, what I THINK you are asking is to reset the toner count error on the c6100 machine when you have replaced the Toner supply ?
Try this from "Ehow"

    • Turn on the power to your printer. Press the "+" key to launch the system menu.
    • 2 Press "+" to navigate the main menu until "Maintenance Menu" appears. Press "Enter" repeatedly until the display shows "Menu Reset."
    • 3 Press "Enter" to launch the system reset. The toner count will reset and the printer will return to "Online" when complete.

Replaced toner with new cartridge but it still says replace cartridge. Tried another new cartridge, same message.

There may be a manual reset sequence to get rid of the message. Older machines run off of a printed page count rather than actual toner levels. Look at the manual for "toner reset sequence" or something similar.

I replaced the toner for MFC 7840W and I am still gettin the toner life end message, I can not print. Please help

As noted from a previous poster, this one works!

I have a brother mfc 7840w

I first used the electrical tape trick and that worked for a while. Then got the toner low message again. I then tried the *00 trick, which works as follows:

1. lift lid and open front cover
2. press clear/back. "Replace Drum?" will appear on the screen.
3. Press "*00" it will then read accepted and the toner low error (End of Toner Life) should go away.
4. close it all up and your done.

Thanks for all your help guys.

there are two parts to the copy of this machine, one is the photo conductor (drum, green cylinder ***'y) and the toner which fits in the drum ***'y.
you replaced the drum but you need to replace the toner as well (low toner)
then turn off and hold the start key an dturn on to get into service mode, scroll to reset photo count, select.

Toner and Imaging Unit issues

If this IS a CLP-510, first make an information confirmation print.
Press MENU, then press ENTER, and ENTER again.

Look at the counter for the imaging unit, is it a low count confirming that you have indeed replaced it ?
If not you will need to reset the counter.

Check the counters for the toner cartridges, and check the capacity of the cartridge. On a CLP-510 the image counter for the toner is held on the chip on the cartridge (which also identifies the capacity of the cartridge).

There have been some faulty (oiginal Samsung chips), and of course re-manufactured cartridge chips could fail (many re-manufacturers don' test their cartridges before dispatch, they don't have the facility to do so without starting the count on the chip (or 'bowing' the reset fuse on a CLP-500 cartridge). VERY few re-manufacturers can test these cartridges without starting the count.

Sometimes the 'replace xxxxx toner' messages are caused by toner on the three contacts on the side of the cartridge, or their mating contacts inside the printer. Rarely, this can be caused by a faulty circuit board.
