I have a echo 330 evl it ran good till i left it set 3 years it started easy wont rev got a rebuild kit soaked in carb cleaner all nite blew it out assembled it put gas in started still wont rev

air cleaner is clean? was rebuilt ? good spark plug? is there a air / fuel adjustment screw or a high / low idle screw on the side of carb. that may be out of adjustment? fuel lines are in good shape? (not cracked or broken sucking air in)?

Cant get the carb to take gas

if you are knowing anything about carbs, then before do anything else first get something a bit heavy and gently tap on the feeding part of the carb so to shake the needle to move or if there is any dirt to move and fuel gets in the carb. if not manage then the carb has to get stripped and clean the needle and make clean carb in order to work.

Take apart the carb and give it good cleaning maybe even but a rebuild kit if available. also disconnect tank hose from carb and empty tank into clear glass jar. Sounds like there might be some water in your gas. In the glass jar you will see a clear line of liquid at the bottom that would be water, even just a little will give these similar symptoms. Good Luck....

Hi,
Just a suggestion O.K?
Carefully check the small fuel lines. To and from the bulb. Make sure the bulb fills with gas.( at least two thirds full. ) There is a small fuel filter on the end of a small fuel line in the tank. A small hook of stiff wire will dig that out. Good luck !!!!

Jonsered 2171 no gas going to carb. Put gas in carb run for few sec's. Blew out fuel filter seems to be fine. Not much use on saw.

the reason is you need to clean out the carb,if they dont get used much the oil/gas mixture turns to a varnish in the small carb ports and fuel can no longer get thru the carb

My 96 magna starts, but wont rev up. I installed new plugs, drained the carbs, blew the fuel lines, changed the gas, checked all vacume lines, removed the air cleaner,& blew air through the top bowl...

put air cleaner back in the airbox as it is needed to create proper vacuum.blowing pressurized air into the openings on the carb could cause the float needle valve to stick to the seat.make sure your control cables are not in a bind, make sure fuel flows to the carb with pressure from pump (not just gravity feed)

carbs really need to be inspected-a manual is a must-or a similar *** make-if oil n gas mix is rite ratio then ur ok-look at the electrical for any cuts, corrosion or looseness-no wheelies

Lawn trimmer runs but won't rev

You need to clean the carburetor. Remove & disassemble. Use a Den Tek Brush,
(http://www.shopping.com/xPO-Lustrasilk-Lustrasilk-Cholesterol-Shea-Butter-Mango-20Oz-Bonus), to clean small portals in carb. Spray carb. with carb. cleaner. make sure the small screen in carb. is free of debris. Reassemble and start. If this doesn't work, buy a carb.kit and replace the needle valve, gasket(s), small screen, & diaphragm.

check the fuel needle valve adjustment it should be turned all the way in to the right & back out 1-1/2 turns that should help get it started
