Just lost my "text" icon, how to retrieve?

Check your Start menu under Programs for Google. If it's still there then right-click the shortcut (icon) and say move to Desktop, or to Taskbar.

If your are using Internet Explorer 9 then you can adjust the browser text size by clicking on View then Text size in the Menu bar.

If you don't see the Menu bar, then right-click your mouse on the top of the browser window (above the page tabs) and you will see a drop-down menu open - select Menu bar from this menu list and this will open under the address bar box.

For Google Chrome you would click on the Spanner icon near the top right corner of the browser, then use the Zoom controls to increase or decrease the magnification of the web page content. You can also use View and Zoom in IE9 if you prefer.

There will be similar controls / options in other web browsers.

My wife's 9360 just did the same thing, the message icon vanished. I took the battery out for ten seconds and that fixed it. Hope this helps. Jim

Can you go to File at the top most left bar of the Internet Explorer. Go to View tab and then check Address Bar because you might have hid it by accident

Dock the bookmarks bar

1. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
2. Select Tools.
3. Select Always show bookmarks bar.

You can also use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+B.

Solution from Google

In the Windows Explorer window, look at the tool bar to the top right of window, where you see the Home icon, and Print icon etc.. One of these is Page.
IF you don't see these.. Right click on the gray tool bar area, and click on Command bar to activate it. Click on Page, and the drop down menu will include Text size option.
If you don't see Page as option, click on the little >> sign to expand hidden icons.

Hit Settings (wrench icon)
Hit Language (lips icon)
Hit Text (top bar on right) Change to English
Hit Voice (top bar on left) Change to English

my garmin 255 shows chinese language. How i can change to english?

While you are still in "Show All" mode, did you try searching the icon in each folder on the menu?
