Re: onkyo tx-ds787

If you mean HDMI compatible, then no. There are no HDMI inputs/outputs on this receiver. Component is the best it has.

Reset a Onkyo TX-DS787

Did you try to ask this question on the support forum from Onkyo? because I don't know what you mean with reset.
When a device is defect, there is no reset button, to repair it. Only what software is involved or settings in a memory that can lose settings when the power is down, can be "reset"

Check the fuse inside the unit. If there is no power lights, the power supply may be bad - the fuse is located in the power supply. Check you wall outlet, too.

Default volume too high

You can download the manual from the link below: c. Power On Volume This sets a designated volume setting for the TX-DS787 to be set every time that the power is turned on. This prevents the TXDS787 from being turned on while it is set to an extremely high volume and suddenly output very loud sounds. For the absolute volume display method, this can be set between min and max. For the relative volume display method, this can be set between ?? and 18 decibels. If you do not mind having the TX-DS787 turned on with its current volume setting, set this to "Last." Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!
