Try using a heavier extension cord, or none at all. Sometimes these cheap compressors will never work right.

14 in. saw with leeson motor

To start with what size circut are you trying to run the saw on? What ever the amperage is on the saw will draw almost 3 Xs the amperage rating of the saw on start up. If the circut is a 20 amp the breaker should hold long enough to start the saw. Also the saw should be the only thing running on the circut at the time. A 1-1/2 hp motor is a good size one aproximately 15.2 amps If you circut breaker is twenty amps and you still pop the breaker you may want to convert the motor to run on 220 volts as that will drop the load to approx. 7.6 amps Youcan run the saw on a 20 amp. 220 volt circut with no problem unless there is a problem with the motor. If the outlet is the only outlet on the circut it is an easy change to convert the circut.

Compressor will not start without tripping breaker?

Circut breakers trip due to a short circut or an overload. In this case the likely cause is an overload. If your compressor is drawing more amperage than the breaker is designed to allow, the breaker trips for safety. Possible solutions. Try using a different outlet with fewer appliances or tools on that circut. If the outlet you are using is on a circut that also has lighting, appliances etc, each item is drawing amps, the addition of the compressor to the circut is pushing the amp limit over the top. You can also try a heavier duty extension cord. If you are using an extension that is rated too low for the required amperage your breaker will trip. If you are not using an extiension cord you may need to talk to an electrician about adding another circut to service your tool and garage needs.
Another possiblity is that your service is not upgraded enough. If you have a 60amp service for the house you might want to talk to an electrician about upgrading to 100amp or more.

Haven't used my ProForm 585s in a couple of months, now when I insert the key, no lights or anything. We've hit the reset button and checked outlets and such. Suggestions?

Hello,

Your on the right track. If power is coming from the wall, it goes through the circut breaker ( red switch next to the power cord entrance), then it goes to the motor controller, the up to the console switch at the magnet/kill switch. To verify that you are getting power past the circut breaker, remove the motor hood. You can now see the motor controller on the left ( opposite the motor), it will have a red light on when it has power. If you dont see that light check the circut breaker.

Let me know,Matt

Have a dedicater 220v 20a circut break to a clothes dryer. The only work done but the electrician was a new main grounding wire and removed conduit and wiring in the basement. Now the breaker opens after 1...

Typically, a standard electric dryer is 30A 240V unless it is natural gas. If the wire is #10awg then you can put a 30A circuit breaker on it. If the wire is #12awg then you DO NOT want to put a larger circuit breaker on it or it over heat the wiring in the wall. If it was a short in the wiring the circuit breaker would trip immediately even with out the dryer plugged in. If it was a grounding problem the circuit breaker would not trip at all, it would just electrify the dryer chasis. It sounds like it is an over current problem, drawing more than 20 amps through the circuit breaker, or like the dryer has an internal problem that is causing the circuit breaker to trip.

Loud buzzing while other phone is on base. Switching phones on base has no effect on issue. Taking phone off base hitting 'talk' helps with issue, but buzzing returns upon placement on base..

did you have "buzzing" Before these phones? Anything electrical fan etc on the same circut breaker of your house?. Or buzzing start recently with these already running. It sounds like your describing "electrical noise" and not really a issue with the phoned them selves. Try relocating the base if you have another open wall jack and on another circut. If you notice it goes away check whats all on that circut (wall outlet) that you unplugged the base from. depending on the noise or lack of at the new location it would probly be something running on there. ..
Hope this gives ya a solid start on a fix :)

You have 1 of 2 problems #1 the breaker overload element is bad=replace breaker, #2 You have a shot somewhere in your line feeding your spa, make sure you have power to the line side of your panel/breaker. hope this helps you...
