Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I have an HP 9650 printer, the red light is on and it will not print. When I open the lid the carriage does not come to the middle and stays to the right. I've opened the back and made sure there are no jams. I even checked the belt to make sure it's still ok. Has anybody else experienced this and do they know the problem.

If the printer doesn't recognize the replacement cartridges, the printer contacts could be dirty. You can clean them with a cotton swab dipped in distilled water and then squeezed very dry. If the printer still won't recognize a replacement cartridge, it most likely has a bad logic board and you should replace the unit.
