SOURCE: Car radio blows fuses

Hello grm4,

The problem you are having is that the power amplifier or one of the driver transistors has shorted to ground and is causing excessive current flow which is blowing the fuse. That being said what is your location and area. Have you tried looking in a phone book or on the internet for a place that is near you. You would be very hard pressed to find a center that repairs Blaupunkt radios exclusively. But if you look in your area you should find a place that can repair this unit.

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.
