First thing to check is the ignitor underneath the drum. (You have to open the panel to see it) It should glow shortly after the dryer starts, then the flame starts and the ignitor shuts off. If the ignitor does not glow then it or the thermostat is bad. If the ignitor is glowing but the gas does not light then the gas valve coils may have to be replaced. If the gas ignites but does not stay on either the flame sensor or the coils are at fault.

Use a volt meter to check for voltage on the output side of the thermostat. If there is voltage there then it is calling for heat and the ignitor is bad.

Maytag dryer mdg6000bww vibration

could be a bad roller, that's a good dryer and worth repairing, hold on to it as long as you can and don't buy any warrany from sears, you have the neptune style dryer but it's hard to say what the problem could be without being there,if you're handy and want to try to repair it yourself i can do my best to help you or if you're in mass. call peter de's aplliance 781-438-9442,very good and usually can get you fixed first time out.could be bad rollers or if the dryer hasn't been pulled apart and cleaned out i've seen lint build up down in where the lint filter slides into and it gets built up on the blower wheel that could make this happen and when the heat comes on it might get louder because all a dryer does is move air if it's blocked somewhere in the dryer or vent line this can happen and it will take longer for your clothes to dry, hope this helps if you think you need service call peter he cleans out the dryer and vent line while he repairs the dryer, your dryer should be cleaned out once a year so you don't have a dryer fire.

My Maytag gas dryer, Model No, LDG7500AAW will run but not heat. The igniter glows red, but the gas will not flow. What might be wrong?

Replace the 2 burner coils ,if the igniter keeps cycling trying to start the flame. If it doesn't replace the flame sensor mounted on the side of the burner tube.

Blinking "Normal" light on a Maytag model

Hi

Open the door. Within 3 seconds press the following sequence --Try pressing normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry three times within 6 seconds and then press cancel to reset the dishwasher. If that doesn't help then try pressing Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry or Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry 3 times in 6 seconds and then the Cancel Button. Close the door and press Cancel.
Blinking lights would stop and should be able to use your dishwasher normally. If the light is still blinking try and reset the power to the dishwasher and try again. If still the light is blinking then check for the connections on the keypad, it may be due to moisture or shorted connections on keypad.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

How to repair squeeky noice on Maytag Dryer (P)MDG6000BWW.

First look in the felt seals for foreign objects, if nothing there, you have to totally take the drum out and check all bearings. Remember to unplug or risk serious injury.

Replace the flame sensor on the side of the heat canister. You may also have to replace the gas valve coils.

Dryer takes forever to dry clothes

This is a classic example of a clogged vent tube. Everyone cleans the lint trap, but seldom checks the tube that connects the dryer's output to the outdoors.

The tube should be removed and replaced if it is the flexible plastic type. The flexible metal tube can be used if you can clean it easily enough. The best tube to use is the sheep metal type. It can be easily cleaned and is very durable. Be sure to pay particular attention to turns or right angles of the tube - nearly always at the rear of the dryer - before it is directed away. Make sure the entire length is clear including the cap at the outside end - be it in the wall or roof.

Of course, if the heat isn't as hot as it used to be, there could be another heat source (gas or electric - or even both) related issue too. I'm betting that the vent has never been inspected.

Good luck!
