Something is changing inside the TV. Most likely a voltage from the power supply since that would affect the different circuits that are causing multiple visual symptoms on the screen, and as the voltage returns to normal; all of the symptoms go away. Suspect the main power supply board in the TV, Most likely there are faulty filter capacitors that control supply voltages by filtering out AC interference.. When they start to go bad they begin to run warm and it takes them longer and longer to start working correctly. Probably (probably) when you first noticed the problem, it went away in a few minutes and it is taking longer and longer for it to clear up.. Sounds like they are close to quitting completely !
hd tv's take longer to come on than regular tv's, blu-ray players take longer to play a disc than dvd's. be patient, the wait is worth it, as long as it does indeed turn on, lol
definitely, something wrong with it. TV shouldn't take more then a few seconds to start, I suggest, while it still under warranty, give Sharp a call to get it fixed.
Sounds like one or multiple Reservoir Capacitors in the Power Supply were starting to dry up. You also get problems like this from dry joints in the Power Supply. You need a technician to take a look for certain.
