CH-DVD 320-won't come on at all. Used to work fine. Now won't come on, it's dead.

Hi,
If your unit has no led light lit on the front panel, this is an indication that the power supply board is not working(dead).

First thing to check is the basic, I'm assuming that your outlet is live. Check the continuity of the power cord using the multimeter. Sometimes it has an internal broken wire due to frequent pulling and bending. If the power cord is good, open the top cover of the unit and check the internal fuse. Sometimes due to voltage surge and aging, fuse fail. If this is the case, replacing with same current(ampere) ratings will cure the problem.

Let me know if the fuse is intact or blow again after the replacement to determine the next steps.

I have a bosch pb360 boombox that wont turn on with new batteries and the fuse is fine

There are two internal glass fuses inside the Bosch pb360sc.
If it won't power on, flip it upside down and remove the bottom section of the radio and four of the screws for the roll cage. Once inside you can figure out which fuse is dead and replace it. The Bosch manual is totally useless and does not tell you or indicate that there are any internal fuses. The fuse that runs the 12volt power supply / cigarette style outlet has nothing to do with your radio not being able to turn on/ power up. I guess they want their service partners to be able to jam you for .50 cent fuse....

Sharp R1420B Totally dead. Power to unit is ok.

Most of these have internal line fuses inside of the casing. Once you remove the housing that covers the top and sides, follow the wires from the cord and they should lead you to the fuse. They are usually on the front rh side looking at it from the front. Be careful, even though unplugged, this unit still stores alot of electriacal energy in the capacitor.

Jensen CD-1500D

you'll be lucky if the power cord is at fault, try another cord. for component checking, try if u can find the main fuse if blown, try replacing it. totally dead gadget sometimes only points to a faulty power supply.
