Question about Mitsubishi WD-62526 Projection TV

1 Answer

Picture is starting to turn blue at lower left corner of screen.

It seems as if the blue is gradually getting larger over a period of time. No other problems with TV other than bulb replacement.

The Optical Engine is the probable cause of this. Check with Mitsubishi at 1800-332-2119 and see if they could assist you in getting a Authorised Service facility out to confirm this. If it is , they may help you with the repair cost.
Hope this helps,

It is most likely the tube going out. Find some one to replace the tube if the TV is fairly new other wise it is going to be a trend. One tube now and another.. and so on. Ride it out as long as you can then go for an upgrade

Blue color flowing from side and bottom into picture

Sony tech support (no charge) said it was definitely not the lamp.
Their suggestion- By unplugging the TV for a minute then turning back on, the blue color was substantially but not toally reduced.
Perhaps there is an electrical charge building up distoring the color by having the TV in the ready mode for too long and by unplugging, the charge dissipates?
No other phone solution recommended other than calling for repairs.

Sony WEGA 42" LCD TV

Uh Oh! blue screen of death. Your light engine has warped a little from overheating and is distorting the picture.

My suggestion to you is to get on the phone with Sony and start complaining, then keep complaining until they agree to pay for it. Even if it is out of warranty.
You may have to get the problem diagnosed by a pro before they agree to pay for it though.
Hope ya fix it!

Green lines appear on the screen when dark picture is shown. Others have the same problem but can not figure out how to remove the front cover. Please help us

The front panel normally has some screws that need to be removed from the inside of the set. You need to remove the back cover first and you should see the screws. Then the panel pops off. Good Luck

Try to replace the Logic Scan board on the upper left side of your tv. The part no. is printed on the board and you can order it from Panasonic's Website. Also check the Service Manual for the part description and part no.
