Press and hold the DELAY START TIME button for +5 secs and a chime will sound. The option to toggle between SND HI and SND LO will come up, pressing Delay Start Time will change it between these options.

I have a Whirlpool Gold Microwave-Oven Combo and the Microwave stopped heating. Everything else works perfect - can this be fixed ? Will it be too expensive ?

I think compared to the replacement cost of the complete combo you will find the microwave repair cost reasonable.

Unless additional ventilation is provided to the rear and sides of your built in combo, a lack of circulating cooling air could have been at least part of the reason why your microwave failed - the electronics need lots of air circulation.
You might want to address this while the unit is removed for repair.

The voltages inside a microwave are potentially lethal and so the checking and repair is a specialised task...

Door error message on microwave whirlpool Gold rmc275pd

This indicates the door is not latching. The simplest fix is if it really isn't closed, and simply pressing on the door does the trick. Not so lucky? Latch mechanism itself may be dirty and not latching. Try cleaning it with standard spray kitchen cleaners and a good scrub, followed by a toweldry. Still no good? There's often an electronic interlock-- a place outside the latch, perhaps along the face of door, which must contact the body of the microwave oven. Again, try cleaning all possible contact areas. No? OK: microwaves are designed not to run without a tight seal to prevent emissions. perhaps the seal itself is damaged. Finally, and most unhappily, and expensively, the electronics module in the combo unit is shot. If the appliance is under warranty you're in like flynn; if it's relatively new but not under warranty, call the Whirlpool service 800 number and very politely but firmly remind them that this is really quite a new unit and certainly their products aren't meant to fail so soon... and surely they have a service bulletin because this can't have just happened to you... This will usually result in (oh happy day!) a free service call or (more common) a deal to sell the part at half price. Better than nothing!

Whirlpool Gold Accubake system microwave indicates door open whenever try to heat. Light (inside microwave) does not come on when door is open. Door open error stays on until cancel button clicked then...

I just had the same problem with my microwave. First DISCONNECT THE POWER. Remove the front top grill (screws are on top of microwave). Unscrew the one screw at the top of the control panel and lift it out of the way. You will see three micro switches to the left of the pannel. I bent the metal frame they were mounted to by hand to move them back into place. The microwave oven works great now. If this does not help, then I would consider replacing the top limit switch.
