Question about Canon Office Equipment & Supplies
Lately when I attempt to print a document from my CANON PIXMA MP780 printer, the above error appear in the printer tray and the documents won't print. All before the printer was printing. The paper tray was and still is full. I checked the printer cables to verify they were still secure from the computer to the printer and the USB cable that connect to the computer from the printer had come out. I put it back in securely and am still having this problem.
Please help me troubleshoot this issue. I have some important documents I need to print, but can not due to this issue. I don't know what else to do . I have tried everything I could think of to troubleshoot the issue, but the problem still isn't resolved. At this point, I am very frustrated and annoyed with this printer.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I had to actually change the settings in Microsoft Word to resolve this problem.
If you go to page setup > paper source > there should be lists for "first page" and "other pages".
You can set this to "as per printer settings" and hopefully it should work.

SOURCE: "Off-line" error message
Go to control panel - printers. Right click your printer icon - select delete printer. Reinstall the software and drivers via CD supplied. May have to restart your computer when complete. Go back to control panel - select printers - select add a printer and follow the instructions. When finished print a test page.

You probably need a new printhead, but that problem cann also be caused by the purge or cleaning station not working properly. If you do a cleaning cycle with no carts. and the little pads in the printhead come back with no ink on them then the purge is working and you need a new printhead.
