We have applied for passport on 31-03-10 and police enquiry is done, but we haven't got our passport ,please do the help. I hope will oblige...

My friend, first off I have no idea what country you are calling from, (and please don't say here)secondly, this is a DIY help site. FixYa.com has NO PULL with the federal/national governments of the world. I am presuming you are eligible top apply for a passport in your country.

Yet, I want to help you. First go to the office where you applied for your passport and inquire as to the status of your application. If they cant help you, ask to "go up stairs" (who do they send applications to). If possible, go there in person if not, write a letter outlining your situation and ask when you can expect to receive your document. Continue this process until, if necessary, you are speaking with the Secretary of State of the Minister that runs the agency. If everything fails, apply again. If politically possible in your country, tell the press what is going on if you have to start all over again.

I hope this response helps you get your passport. Happy International Traveling.

What is esp on a mercedes 2007 s550

Could it be, your vehicle has Psychic intuition? Just kidding... :-)

Well, actually...it's not far from it !!!

ESP was co-developed between Daimler-Benz & Bosch, and was later adopted by Mercedes (across their range) from 1999.

As you know, most vehicles now have ABS braking...and some now have a form of Traction control.

Well, ESP exceeds the safety boundaries:

It's an intuitive system, connected to your vehicle's ABS, steering, dampers and Drive-train management.

ESP has saved countless lives since its implementation by reducing the risk of skidding on cornering and by maintaining the vehicle’s directional stability – even in critical conditions.

How exactly does it work?

1) This is achieved by selectively braking individual wheels, thus counteracting the tendency to skid in critical handling situations and allowing the driver to maintain control of the vehicle.

2) Oversteer is corrected by applying brake to the front outer wheel, understeer by applying brake to the rear inner wheel. Engine power can also be limited in some applications

3) The system can measure steering angles, lateral forces, and can compensate the damper ride height (optional).

Hope this helps....

2001 ford expedition, rear brake burning smell after short driving distance and slight intermittent drag (like the brake was slightly applied on rear)

i see alot of bad calipers on these in the rear! so when you get the wheels off and take a look at the pads one side should have alot more wear than the other and that will be the trouble side. when you have the caliper off and the pads off. try depressing the caliper piston and if it don't move open the bleed with presure still applied to the piston and if the piston goes in after you open the bleeder then you have a bad rubber brake hose and if it don't than your caliper is bad. also if the piston goes in from the begging then you may have a defective pad and it wore faster witch may cause the piston to get jammed because it's at it's full excursion.

if you have any more question please ask. good luck
