Question about Philips 60P8342 60" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Green outline I have a phillips 60p8342 60 in rear projection screen. There is no more definitions with images. There seems to be a greenish ghost shadow arround every image. It is mostly noticeable in defined areas or characters such as arround people or the scrolling ticker box at the bottom or top of the screen when I am watching sports. Is there any way that I can re-sharpen these images?

Dm21,
This particular unit has a common problem with coolant contamination. It is slightly possible - only slightly - that the focus block needs adjusting, but I'd first suspect coolant contamination... This is one job I would recommend that you attempt. On a scale of 1 to 10, and ten being the most difficult, this is a 10 even for a qualified shop with all the best of equipment.
My advice, take it in and have it repaired...
Bill

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

You may have to do the full convergence alignment for all three CRTs, as outlined in the service manual for your model. Do you have the full service manual for your set which outlines the alignment and convergence proceedures?
