First I want to say I do not have the best writing skills so please look past the lack of punctuation and possible spelling errors with that said I'll give my answer .

I have seen and repaired this problem manny times in manny different brands of tvs including most if not all the so called reputable brands, and I don't recall it ever being any of the boards as mentioned in the answers above. For tv's that use led 's for the back lights I have found that the back lights will fail to turn on at all or flash on once briefly when the Set is powered on. I have found most cases this is caused by a single led that has burnt on one of the led strips inside the TV . The led backlighting basically works the same as Christmas lights do any time a single light burns out the whole stran goes out and you have to find and replace the bad light to fix the issue you can replace a single led but it requires some advanced soldering skills . You can order a new led strip and replace the bad strip locating the bad strip you need a digital volt meeter and look up how to test led with a volt meeter . I hope this answer will help others that experience this problem

Replace the TV, fixing it is very expensive and then shortly after another problem will occur. It soon becomes a money pit. The backlight and driver board is about $400.00 just for parts.

Perhaps the backlight LED driver board needs to re-seated.
Also check flex wire connectors for loose connection.
reseat or replace

SOURCE: My hisense led LCD TV has no picture but has good sound . Did flashlight test. It has no backlighting. If i replace the main board would that likely solve the problem? Model is 50K20DG.

Don't waste any money on this poor quality TV. The backlight is not working and can't be easily replaced without a new LCD panel, which is too expensive a repair. Stick to reputable brands/manufacturers when buying TVs.

SOURCE: We have a Hisense 50h5g 2014 model , The tv has sound but no picture ,

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

I have a Hisense television with no backlight, no light in front when checked with flashlight.

Hi Henry, since the tv is not turning on to check for any video in the background then it gets a bit more complicated to pinpoint where the failure might be.
This TV has a power supply and main board combined in one board. Replacing the whole circuit board might fix it but it could also be defective LED's strips.

Let me know if you require further assistance.

Yes but to replace all those PCB's will cost the same as a new TV in most cases. and what if it doesn't fix it or the problem is elsewhere.

My Hisense 50H5G LED TV has sound but no picture. I did the flashlight test and saw an image. Does this mean the Tcon board is bad?

No it means you have no picture, you must do the testing to decide if the PCB is defective or not.

Hisense 50H5G tv screen is black. It has no backlights either. It does have sound. Is it the t conn board.

I'd be willing to bet it's a connection on the board if the sound is working. usually, just open up the back and look for the ribbon connector running from the screen to the board. check and make sure it's fitted good. maybe even disconnect and reconnect just to be sure. then give it a go. if not, the screen itself or something on the board may be at fault. hope this helps

Bad LED on Hisense 50H5G, no picture or sound, but the Hisense can be seen with flashlight.

Hi,
Hisense can be unbelievably expensive on parts, consider a salvaged part with a warranty from shop jimmy or similar, much cheaper than the manufacturer but you will have to fit the panel or find a capable friend
