SOURCE: I've plug the 110-v Homedics massager into
I managed to get it fixed this weekend.
What I basically did was , I
opened the cushion that was basically zipped up , then there was a plastic
casing which was easily removable by unscrewing the screws.
then if you
follow the power chord , you will find that it is attached to a pcb . This is
the adapter. This adapter is then connected to another pcb through an easily
removable power clip. What I did was I took this to an electrician . The whole
unit looks like a laptop power adapter , but without tHe outer black casing. If
you stay in bangalore you can take it to sp road, there's this shop that works
on speakers. The electricitritian told me that a capacitor and something else ,
I don't remember , had blown up. He replaced it and it started working with a
120 / 220 volt 50 watt voltage converter. I have MCS-700H, check what is your
power rating, its written the label which is in the seat of ur massager. If ur
not sure buy one with 100 watts .
Hope this helps!
Btw it cost me
300 to repair and 200 for the voltage transformer.
