SOURCE: remote doesnot work

If you have not already, register your product with the company. And contact them regarding the malfunction. they should replace the part or the product if you send it in.

SOURCE: I've plug the 110-v Homedics massager into

I managed to get it fixed this weekend.

What I basically did was , I opened the cushion that was basically zipped up , then there was a plastic casing which was easily removable by unscrewing the screws.

then if you follow the power chord , you will find that it is attached to a pcb . This is the adapter. This adapter is then connected to another pcb through an easily removable power clip. What I did was I took this to an electrician . The whole unit looks like a laptop power adapter , but without tHe outer black casing. If you stay in bangalore you can take it to sp road, there's this shop that works on speakers. The electricitritian told me that a capacitor and something else , I don't remember , had blown up. He replaced it and it started working with a 120 / 220 volt 50 watt voltage converter. I have MCS-700H, check what is your power rating, its written the label which is in the seat of ur massager. If ur not sure buy one with 100 watts .

Hope this helps!

Btw it cost me 300 to repair and 200 for the voltage transformer.

Can Homedics Therapist Select? Shiatsu Pillow with Heat be used under 220 V power? Thanks

If it is set up for 110 volts, you should not use it on 220. Most likely you will burn the motor out in a matter of minutes.

Can't disassemble massager.

I don't have the Homedics programmable, but I have taken apart my Brookstone programmable (and lots of old Homedics massagers).

I'm going to guess the screws concealment method is similar. On the under side of the massager, look for small oval-shaped outlines that are the same color as the rest of the body. Mine had four. These are little plastic plugs that you can pry out with a tiny flat screwdriver or a razor blade. The screws are hidden under these plastic plugs.

I hope this helps
