My samsung camcorder vp-d20 just won't swith on - its completely dead. Changed button battery, new li-ion battery and new charger. Does anybody know if theres a there a fuse somewhere ? Thanks andy

I have a samsung VP-d20. When I turn it to camera the LED screen comes on (blue screen) but the image turns grey but no image appears. I have recorded images before and these play back on player. The battery now seems to have gone dead and it only works off the lead. Is this a battery problem?

When one head is not working, normally because it is clogged by dust/dirt/tape residue, you see broad bands of noise across the image occupying exactly half the total image area.......

I have a Samsung VP-D20 The camcorder switches on ok, all the information appears in the view finder or on the LCD but there is no recording image on the screen or in the view finder, the recording light...
Yes I have solved the problem with this camcorder. I had a scrap unit which had a liguid spillage. Thanks to your help I stripped both units down and changed the lens assembly complete with the electronics, the camcorder now works fine.
I am waiting for help with a samsung D 363.

Vupoint dv-dv1-vp camcorder needs a new battery
Buy a "np-60" battery on ebay or other store. Some will come with a charger.
You can charge the battery via the usb cable from any working usb port.

are you trying to charge the battery while on the camcorder??? does the camcorder work when you plug the camcorder into the charger?? If the battery fails to charge while its on the charger it can only be the charger but most likly the battery. If the camcorders dead it could be the dreaded pana cap think thT HAPPENS TO MOST CAMCORDERS AFTER A LITTLE AGE. good luck
