these usually are threaded counter clockwise need a pair of channel locks to hold the flywheel then with the other hand crack nut open

You nnnd to un-screw the srews that attach the housing to the engine. There will be 4 more srews to un-screw to get to the cord

You will have to remove the main cover and possibly more parts to access that area. Enter your model # info stuff on this search page and you will be able to see what is involved. Torx head fasteners hold the covers on. Go to:
